The Stockroom really hit the nail on the head with the Wartenberg Pinwheel. I love the look and feel of it. It's well made and mine has lasted quite a long time. Made from metal, it has a firm, smooth texture, no smell or taste and measures 6 3/4 inches in full length and weighs only .1 lb. The pinwheel head measures about 1 1/4 inches in diameter, and each "needle" is about a quarter of an inch in length.

Performance

This product has exceeded my expectations. It's capable of producing sensations ranging from a light tickle to a fairly painful bite. Give it a hard enough go and it will even break the skin. I've used The Wartenberg Pinwheel all over my body, but I especially like it on my nipples, ass, inner thighs, and back.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Wartenberg Pinwheel is made of metal, it can be boiled or bleached ( with a 10% solution). It's also dishwasher safe (use the top shelf) and can be washed with soap and water.

Mine came in a little pouch that it fits snugly inside of so that none of its "prickies" stick anyone or anything else. It's small and so easy to store. That makes it travel friendly, easy to slip into a bag or bedside table.

I still use this guy constantly. I keep him around in my toy bag for all types of fun. He's very well made and has held up great despite some of the rougher play I've put him through. Feel free to use him anywhere on the body and with varied degrees of pressure to get different results of pain and pleasure. I would highly recommend this toy to anyone interested in spicing up their sex life or looking for a little something to add to their toy bag for sensation play.

I don't think I would have seen this product if I hadn't been looking at your reviews. It looks scary to me.. actually looks like a torture device! Your review opened me up to the idea that using this might be enjoyable. I like experiencing different sensations on my skin, and this looks like a good way to explore that without jumping into anything head first! Thanks for the review

    • Interesting question. Since it's chrome plaited steel, I would assume it could possibly rust because chrome does oxidize over time.

      Can't say that I have had rust issues - it's made of chrome-plated brass from what I've observed. My #1 problem with my wheels (regardless of source) is that you're pretty much on your own to find a suitable sheath - they will poke through many materials, and I've had at least one that poked through something and bent the tines.

      That one does not get used in play.

  • Wartenberg Pinwheel: Any On The Way?
    • I'm literally aching to snag one of the Wartenberg Pinwheels link but they're sold out and I'd like to know when they'll be back, or maybe if theres one stray floating about the inventory from the move... I don't like the Fetish Fantasies one, it looks so cheap and less intense (a bad thing for me).

      Does any of the warehouse people know if there's anymore of these buggers lying around? I just want 1! :(

    • I'm curious to see if anyone's tried using a sewing tracing wheel as a less-intense alternative, or first step to using a Wartenberg pinwheel?
    • why would you want a less intense toy. The wheel is not all that bad.
    • The Wartenberg pinwheel is only as intense as you want it to be. If you lightly trace it over the skin, it isn't at all prickly, but the harder you press, the more intense it becomes.
