Leather bondage cross - restraints discontinued by Zado - review by Dixiemomma

The Zado Bondage Cross is designed to restrict movement of your lover's arms and legs, in pretty much any fashion you desire! The most common use of this is as a fast and easy hog-tie; simply attach to your lover's wrist and ankle cuffs (not provided) behind their back, leaving them helpless to your ministrations. Or, you could attach the straps in front in a standing position, so they are forced to remain bent over. Attach it to a collar and wrists to keep their hands up and out of the way - really, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

The craftsmanship on this was a big disappointment, after having received other items from this manufacturer that were so well made and of such nice leather. This looks and feels like it was made from the scraps that were left over. The leather straps are flimsy, thin, and not attached well. These will not hold up to even moderate play. There are 4 strips of leather attached to a thick, sturdy metal ring (which is really the only sturdy looking part of this); they are able to be manipulated around the ring to a point, giving you some options and mobility. The leather strips are looped through the ring and the clasps, and then each is attached to itself by a single, rather weak looking, metal brad. This is the only thing holding them on; there is no reinforced stitching, or anything like that, to give them strength.

Size-wise I was surprised at how small it was. The straps measure about 5" long from ring to end of clasp, and are almost 1" wide. The straps are very thin and extremely flexible, making this suitable for beginners or those only into very light play. Otherwise, find something sturdier.

Immediately upon taking this out of the box, we were both disappointed in how small and rather cheap it looked. After having received other products from Zado, we had high expectations for the rest of their products; this sure didn't meet up to those expectations. The leather straps were flimsy and stretched rather easily when pulled on (as a struggling submissive is prone to do), and looked as if they would come unattached at the points where the leather was looped back on itself. We used it once, but my Mister has thrown it to the back of the closet and is uninterested in using it again. Who would want to stop in the middle of the fun to fix cheap bondage gear?The only other use I could think of for this item is that maybe you could tether multiple dogs to the same leash, assuming they are small dogs that don't pull.

This item needs some beefing up, but I love the wrist cuffs from Zado and am looking forward to the ankle cuffs and a few other items from this line.

Being that this is made mostly of leather, you will want to be careful in how you clean it. Avoid getting it wet if you can; spot clean if necessary with a slightly damp rag and very mild soap or leather soap. Be sure that it is completely dry after cleaning so the leather doesn't ruin or get out of shape.

This can easily be stored in your toy chest on its own, or in the original box (which I prefer). Just be sure that it is in a nice, dry place so as not to mildew.
