I would consider this toy to be pretty misleading to the uninitiated. This toy is a flogger as it has multiple tails/falls (not just one), and not a whip as the name employs. It's actually the first flogger I ever bought at a novelty store in the mall because it was easily accessible, a fun color, and wasn't intimidating.

Overall, the toy was okay, but I would say it may leave something to be desired for both the novices and the hardened veterans of sensation play. Aesthetically, it's pretty cute. It comes in multiple colors, and for those people just dipping their toes into the S/M or BDSM realm, it is pretty tame looking. However, for someone new, this toy packs a bit of a sting, and not everyone prefers that sort of sensation, especially just starting out. Its size might invite it to be used on softer, more delicate bits of flesh because it isn't very big and it's fairly easy to wield. I wouldn't recommend that to a new person-this thing stings, especially on soft skin that has not been "warmed up" in other ways first. It isn't super stingy with a bite that would sate a seasoned masochist, but a new person might not expect the sensation from this toy.

For those people into heavy sensation play, this toy isn't for you, either. It does sting, but there isn't a lot of weight to it, and you'll probably be disappointed. Also, the falls tangle easily, so storage is tricky-don't toss it in your duffel bag; you won't ever be able to untangle it.

I'd recommend this toy as a sensation play toy only, best for use after a heavy flogging, caning, fire play, or wax scene when the skin has already been warmed up.

This flogger is 22" long, including the plastic tube of a handle. I did find the length to be fairly satisfactory for close range play in a draping and swishing motion for use in a bedroom or face up on furniture. For seasoned floggers, this toy would be a bit short for the standard play party scenario of a bottom with their face towards a cross.

There are two balls attached to either side of the handle as supposed anchors, but they weren't attached securely and spun on their own.

The falls are rubber, really thin, break fairly easily, and get tangled like nobody's business. I think if someone was really vigilant about it, they could keep this thing untangled, but I even put it in a flogger bag specifically designed to keep falls from tangling and it was a big mess when I pulled it out of the bag.

Due to the fact that the falls are made of rubber, the toy did emanate that characteristic, chemical laden rubber toy smell. Admittedly, the scent was not heavy enough to be considered a stench, but as a bottom with ADHD, the last thing I want from my toys is a 'feature' (more like a side effect) that detracts and distracts from the use of the toy at hand and the scene unfurling before it.

I enjoyed this toy after a wax play session. My skin was warm and sensitive and the falls tickled and stung just a bit, depending on how the toy was used. That, however, was the only thing it was really good for in my opinion. It is too light weight to do much in regards to how a flogger is traditionally used and swung, and while it DID leave marks, they were fairly light and did not last more than a half an hour or so.

I admit I was expecting more from this toy, even though it was the first toy of it's kind that I had purchased. It should come in its own durable, thin box for storage. Maybe then I would appreciate it more, knowing that I could use it again and again without having to worry if it would get tangled or if it would tangle so badly as to render it unusable.

We have owned two of these toys over the years and both have suffered the same fate-deteriorating slightly smelly rubber falls in a tangled mass, to be shoved to the bottom of the toy bag or the back of the closet. I can not remember the last time we used either in a session.

This toy is somewhat easy to store-I would recommend storing it on a hook on the back of a door so that it never gets tangled. Travel is another store all together. Unless you have a long thin box to lay it in, the falls WILL tangle and you might not be able to untangle them.

As it is made of rubber, it is easy to clean-just wash with handsoap and water and hang to dry.

At the store where I bought this from, it was sold loose with no packaging other than a tag.
