Whip Me, Beat Me, Make Me Call You Edna!
For adventurous couples or devotees of bondage and discipline this flogger is a welcome and pretty addition to a well stocked toybox. While it isn't the type of flogger to inspire fear in a victim it will inspire sighs of pleasure and squirms of mild discomfort. This flogger is great for longer sessions since it is weighted properly int he handle.Published: December 9, 2010
Pros:
Very high quality, beautiful, great length, weighted handle
Cons:
No hanging/wrist loop
When LELO decides to enter a market they certainly do so with style! The Sensua Suede Whip, which is technically a flogger, is stylish from it's hearty silver finish, weighted metal ball handle to it's beautiful even colored and cut 34 suede falls.
From the start this flogger fairly screams elegance. It arrives in a light cardboard box which features a picture of the whip. The whip itself is stored in a heavy black cardboard box suitable for storing the flogger when not in use as long as you carefully fold the falls to avoid creasing them. I find twisting them gently and folding them over will keep them from creasing and allow the flogger to fit in the box. Personally, I find the flogger to be too pretty to keep hidden away in a box and I store mine on my dresser. One draw back to the flogger is a lack of loop for hanging.
The handle of the flogger is around 5.5 inches long and has a lovely lucite middle piece banded by a weighted silver metallic ball on the very end. The weighted ball allows the natural wrist movement without fatigue that makes for a long, exciting session. The top of the handle has a sturdy metal ring into which the falls are very securly attached. No amount of tugging and pulling on the falls has resulted in seperation. The lucite piece is clear and evenly colored.
There are a total of 34 high quality suede falls on my flogger. The falls are about a half centimeter wide and evenly dyed from tip to root. I haven't noticed any shedding of the suede but there has been a bit of fading which means it is shedding slightly. The falls are approximately 8.5 inches long making them just about the perfect length for light flogging and for beginner users to learn with. Proper flogging involves control and proper placement of the falls for maximum effect and this little guy certainly makes that easy. If you are looking for a flogger that will cause extreme pain then this little guy just won't measure up! For light play or extended play this flogger shines.
The flogger delivers a thuddy blow that doesn't impart that high pitched stinging that some receivers don't like. It takes quite a bit of force to achieve a real sting or leave a mark with this little baby, though if you use a continual stroke it will begin to sting after a while. We have found that it can provide that lovely wide muscle massage that makes 'victims' sigh with relief. We have used it for more intimate flogging of the breasts and inner thighs, though we have avoided the vagina as the suede doesn't take kindly to moisture. Since this flogger won't cut the skin without some really harsh use blood clean up shouldn't be a problem. If your flogger gets bodily fluids or water on the falls then suede cleaner is your best bet to prevent deterioration. The suede can stain, mold and fade so store in a dry, dark place for maximum results. If the falls twist, kink or crease you won't ever be able to get them to lie flat again, the fall on this flogger seem to be pretty hard to crush or crease, though. With moderate care the Sensua Suede Whip will last a good long time.

Experience
This was my introductory flogger with Sigel. I have played with floggers, whips and flails with other people but he has never felt comfortable enough to use them with me. Recently he told me he wouldn't have a problem if I bought some stuff to use with Arch. After I showed him how lovely the flogger felt being used with minimal force he felt better about using it on me. That night we had so much fun that he actually dreamt about it! Now I have 'permission' to buy as many floggers as I desire! This flogger is a perfect introduction to the world of B/D or just as a lovely addition to the shared toy box of an adventurous couple.
Follow-up commentary
7 months after original review
This little flogger is still one of my favorite warm up toys both giving and receiving. I haven't noticed any degredation of falls beyond the initial shedding and they have shined up a bit with use. This is perfect for players who want lighter tools that are, never the less, good quality.

Why not read one of the 15 reviews on the page you linked to and find out?

Quote: Does it hurt?Depends who's using it on you. If you have a partner who can go light, no. It can be more of a sensational play than actual pain if used lightly.

Anyone have this? Wondering how they like it??

There are eight reviews on this. Just a thought, but I suppose you could gather information on the whip from reading them.

The reviews are definitely the best way to see what people think of it because they're so greatly detailed, but not everyone who owns it has reviewed it.
I really like ours. We have it in purple. It's really light weight and easy to wield. I don't find that it stings much, but I liked that because it means we can use it for long periods of time without having to stop.
I would absolutely buy another one. It's a great buy. (inlove)

Are there any recommendations for whips?
-
That depends on if you want it to really "bite" or not. The Sensua Suede that you're asking about is excellent if you want a whip that you can swing hard but not have a lot of pain or marking.

Bumping this to see if anyone has some suggestions.
