I’ll admit it; I got these cuffs because they are cheetah print. When it comes to cheetah and/or leopard print I’m kind of obsessed. Clothes, lingerie, bedding, you name it and I probably have it, or would buy it. That being said, I’m really happy I received the Cheetah Cuffs by Leatherbeaten regardless of the design of the fabric. For the price they’re nice sturdy cuffs designed for lighter play, but also able to withstand a good deal of force. These cuffs are not only nice looking, but also a comfortable alternative to the traditional leather cuff.

The Cheetah Cuffs have a simple but effective design. They are composed of a piece of black fleece material on the inside and faux cheetah fur on the outside. Both sides of the cuff are soft and comfortable to the touch. On the cheetah patterned side of the cuff is a strap which is sewn to the fabric in four different spots. There’s a plastic ring to attach a D-ring or tie rope to, and a plastic sliding clasp used for tightening the cuffs.

Not only are the cuffs simple in design, but they are also very easy to use. The strap is fed through the plastic clasp until an acceptable fit is found, and then the clasp closes shut. Considering it is made out of plastic, the clasp is very durable. No matter how hard I pulled, they didn’t come undone. The cuffs didn’t come with any kind of restraint accessories, so you’re going to need to use something like a D ring, or rope. The cuffs can be used as handcuffs by being attached together, or can be used to secure each wrist or leg separately.

The cuffs accommodate a wide range of wrist and ankle sizes, as preset holes aren’t used to adjust the fit. They’re a good choice for those who feel that leather can be too harsh on skin, or perhaps have sensitivity to leather. They are also a nice addition to using rope for bondage, as the rope can be tied to the cuffs instead of directly around limbs.

The Cheetah cuffs are ideal for lighter play, and for those new to or experimenting with BDSM. They can also be used by the more experienced, but they aren’t going to be as durable as a leather cuff, or a cuff made out of a stronger material. They could also be used for novelty or dress up purposes.

The cuffs came packaged in a seal-able plastic bag. The only thing besides the cuffs in the bag was a multicolored cheetah insert with a cartoon picture of a woman wearing the cuffs, and the name of the cuffs and the name of the company that manufactured them. The bag is nice, because it’s simple and it can either be used to store them, or it can be tossed without creating too much waste. The cuffs are easy to store with or without the bag, because they can be folded and don’t take up much space. The cuffs didn’t come with any instructions, but I felt they were easy enough to operate that instructions weren’t required. If they happen to get dirty, they can be machine washed, or cleaned with soap and water.

In terms of durability, the strap has started to fray slightly. This makes me think that it could potentially pull apart. I also felt that if the strap was pulled too hard it might eventually pull off, as it is only held in place by stitching. The cuffs could be a little more durable if they were made of a stronger material, or had metal clasps or rings. That being said, I think they suited their purpose, and were more than durable enough for the price.
