Wimpy Whip

Fun purchase for a group of sexually inexperienced teenage girls with nothing better to do on a Saturday night. Waste of money for sexually experienced couples looking for something more forceful than a simple spanking.

Use

In my opinion, this is specifically for beginners or for anyone who likes their BDSM on the lighter side. If you've never done any type of flogging before or have a very low tolerance for pain, this is probably a good place to start. For it to really hurt, you have to continuously hit as hard as you can for at least five minutes. I don't know about you but that's not my idea of fun. I want it to make me cringe at the very first strike.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The classic design and shape are simple, uncomplicated and make it very easy to use. It seems to be well made, with the rubber pieces going up through the clear, beaded handle. Each strand is probably about ten inches long, making the handle four inches. Despite their thinness, none of the strands are going to break or fall off during use.

Like most things, it will last longer if you store it properly instead of just throwing it in a drawer or something. (Common sense. I know.)

The material is high quality latex rubber. Looks, smells, feels like rubber. In another review this was compared to rubber bands. This is only similar in what it's made of and not how it feels because the strands are loose on one end and don't have the natural tension in them that bands do.

Performance

Our expectations were not met because we were expecting it to hurt. I don't know if it's the material or the size that makes it so gentle but it's too gentle. To me it often felt more like a caress rather than a slap. I remember getting frustrated because of how unpainful it was. (see Personal Comments section below)

One thing I did like was the theatrical sound it produced. Loud enough to make the traditional noise of a whip but not loud enough to be heard behind a closed door, or at least I don't think it was.

The strands being are as thin as they are, they get tangled very easily. A lot of time was wasted untangling it after just a short time of whipping. There might be a way of preventing that but I'm currently unaware of what is it.

I think that this might be rather nice on an inner thigh or a breast, as those areas are (generally) much more sensitive than an outer thigh or a butt cheek.

Care and Maintenance

Hang it up (by the retrieval cord) somewhere so it doesn't get tangled.

I don't know what to say about how to clean it. I don't really even know what someone would do with it that that it would need to be cleaned, besides maybe a lube spill. Don't let that happen to you! (Edit: clean with mild soap and water, pat dry.)

Packaging

Exactly like in the picture, it just had the little paper tag with the price on one side and a picture of a scantily clad woman on the other. I don't recall any instructions being included.

Personal comments

With things such as this, reviews are pretty subjective. I personally have a very high tolerance for pain. The more something hurts me, the better it feels. Everyone should know that this review is from the point of view of a masochist so I'm judging this using a different standard than most others would.

Experience

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it was the person using it that was too gentle rather than the actual product itself. It's a possibility but I doubt it.

We only used it on one area. I suggest trying it everywhere.

You could likely clean it in a very mild soap and water. I would also pat it as dry as possible to avoid drying the rubber out. We have gotten bodily fluids on our floggers plenty of times and that's all I do.
