Wish it stuck like web

An interesting concept that could have used better implementation - the web design is cool, but it doesn't stay on the bed or restrict movement enough to be really exciting.

Use

It's meant as a restraint system - one that is incredibly flexible, allowing a partner to attach you to all different points and positions. Attaching a cuff to a corner-point on the web, where the straps intersect, isn't supposed to allow you to move much, but being strapped to one of the web lines lets you move all the way along that line. The advertising on the box is more directed towards beginner users, who maybe haven't thought of all the possibilities rope and shackles can bring into the bedroom. The web fits over the top of a bed, with four nylon straps reaching around each corner of the bed.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Design is alright - it looks cool on the box, and you'd think it could be pretty fun to try on the bed. After taking it out of the box, it looked like one gigantic puzzle - there were no instructions *whatsoever*. Luckily, the entire thing comes pre-assembled. It was still slightly tricky to get onto the bed - one large strap over each of the bed's corners. They do give you enough strapping to take over any size bed. Material and worksmanship is where this toy falls - the entire web is made of nylon straps and plastic parts. The buckles that keep the web on your bed have nothing to keep the straps tight, so you really have nothing keeping the web in place, or preventing it from moving during play. The cuffs are all made of a wide nylon strap, with a foam sewn into the inside and velcro closures. They use velcro to attach to the web itself. The smell is pretty obvious too - especially after just being opened. It does dissipate with time, but I've left one cuff out in the open air for about 3 weeks now and it still smells of chemical.

Performance

As a restraint device, this web doesn't really do...any thing...to restrain me. I'm not a beginner, but perhaps just the mental idea of being strapped to something will make it enjoyable for someone. When you're not tied to an intersection, you have a wide range of movement. When tied to an intersection, ideally you wouldn't be able to move much, assuming the straps holding it onto the bed worked...but the buckles that should keep the straps tight onto the bed have absolutely zero hold. You tighten them down, they loosen. You pull even a little bit, they loosen. You could probably replace these buckles and it would serve its function, but I'm a firm believer that I shouldn't have to modify a toy in order to get it to function as intended.

Care and Maintenance

Since nylon is a type of fabric, it would be pretty easy to just throw this in the laundry to wash it. Obviously a dryer is a different idea, air dry would be best, or low heat so it doesn't melt. Would be best to remove the plastic buckles too.

Packaging

This was all tightly packaged into the white box - the entire thing was pre-assembled (yay), but absolutely zero instructions. Not *particularly* difficult to figure out, but I mostly had to guess from looking at the pictures on the box.
Follow-up commentary
A year later...still smells like chemicals and nylon. Still sits in the back closet. I tried to use it a couple other times, but I'm probably just going to salvage the piece for the nylon strapping.

Great review...Makes me sad that it doesn't stay...I pull quite a bit, so maybe plastic isn't such a good idea for me...
