Work It!
This was a lot of fun to play with, but I think there are probably a ton of better options to choose from. If you're down with the leather look, it's worth a shot.Published: August 8, 2011
Pros:
Cheap, Quality Material
Cons:
Too Much Material, Too Much Hook and Loop
This is our first attempt at using a c-strap/c-ring. I bucked the concept for a long time because I didn't understand why someone would use a c-ring on a healthy, happy cock. I talked my husband out of it for the longest time and then one night, during a playful session, I used one of the hook and loop closures from one of the electronics we own. I was surprised to find the effect was a real fire starter. He asked me to find something on Eden with a quick release feature and since the original hook and loop fabric worked, I picked this one.
This strap is leather and was pretty stiff when we first took it out of the package. I rolled the leather onto itself into a ball and then used a simple clamp to keep it tight and let it sit for 24 hours. After this, I twisted the leather into a figure 8 and clamped the two ends together to keep it from unraveling on itself. This process really helped to soften the leather and made it much more flexible.
The construction is rather simplistic. The seam is on the inside to prevent irritation and it is sewn with pink thread (why pink? no idea!) and there are two fairly large pieces of hook and loop closures. The total length is just under 9" and the width is just over half an inch. This gives you a ton of room to work with, but there's also a downside to this extra room. When secured to create the smallest ring possible, there is almost two inches of material on the other side. I suppose once you were familiar with where you need to secure the hook and loop, you can trim off the excess but then you're going to have a rough, open end that will eventually fray. And let's not even think about all of the fun micro-organisms that might find a home there!
It's made fairly well, the sewing job is a little off on mine and there are a couple of loose ends, but nothing that can't be fixed. Cleaning this is a bit of a pain and I would recommend using an anti-bacterial toy cleaner and then giving it a little rub with a leather conditioner. If not, it's going to dry out. As with most items that have a hook and loop, eventually the fibers are going to become too fuzzy to secure properly. A quick trim with a pair of scissors will solve that issue.
So how does it work? Eh, so-so. The extra material on the end was physically annoying and the hook and loop closure is still stiff no matter how many times I've twisted it, played with it, rolled it, flattened it...you name it, I did it! Hubby thought that was a little uncomfortable and I didn't like how it felt when he was thrusting. And the slightest change in hardness means you have to stop and readjust the tightness of the strap. Overall, I think I would rather have picked a different style of quick release but this is still fun to play with for now. I can see this working well for a very thick member, but not for the long and lean. It's not a waste though, just a step in the right direction to finding something we really enjoy!

Follow-up commentary

I still like the overall concept, but we never use this c-ring. It just wasn't quite the experience we were hoping for. If you're into a cock and ball ring/device then this might be a good beginner's choice to determine how tight you like the constriction to be.

Is velcro a good choice for beginners?

Quote: Is velcro a good choice for beginners?I'm not a guy but it seems velcro would have it's uses, it's probably good for beginners in the sense that it's much easier to remove in case of emergency or panic. (easier than ones with snaps even)

It could be good. I personally hate velcro. The sound it makes drives me crazy.

Thank you for viewing Velcro closure cock strap – cock ring review page!

Yours had pink thread? How strange is that?
How did our man wear it, just on the shaft or around the whole package?
Just on the shaft. He doesn't like it around the whole thing. Says it feels funny.
And yeah, pink thread...it threw me for a loop. LOL White, black, brown...but PINK? Sillyness!
Thanks for the review!!!
Thanks for the review. Too bad it didn't work all that well.
Looks like an interesting product. Thanks for the review!
Nice review!
Thanks for the review
Thank you everyone!
Great review!
I like how you suggested the idea of curling it up and leaving it for 24 hours to make it less stiff. I never would have thought of that! Thanks hun!
Thanks!
Nice review!
Good review. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for reviewing. Seems useful to give to someone who never used one before.
Thank you!
