Y style with clamp - y style clit and nipple clamps discontinued by Spartacus - review by TheSexDoc

When I first started using nipple clamps, the Y-Style (also called “tweezer clamps”) were my first pair. So, when I received the opportunity to review the Y-Style Clit and Nipple Clamps by Spartacus, I was excited but admittedly nervous--especially since my clit has never been clamped before.

The clamps are made of metal. The rubber tips are non-porous, latex and Phthalates free. The chain itself is about 32" long and weighs about 0.1 lbs.

As I removed the clamps from their packaging, my first thoughts were the weight of the chain itself. Past experience has taught me that the heavier the chain, the more the "pinch" of the clamps. While this chain isn't extremely heavy, it does have some weight to it and very new users with a low pain threshold may find the combination of the weight and the clamps too much. Since I was doing this review solo, I opted to clamp the easiest part of my body first--my nipples. I have large nipples and when using Y clamps with large nipples, positioning is everything. When I am self-clamping, I always find it easier to squeeze and pull my nipple up so that I clamp behind the nipple rather than directly onto the nipple. As I got my nipple in place and slid the clamp closed, I was expecting to feel at least a little pressure so I was a little disappointed when I didn't feel anything.

Next came time to apply my first clit clamp. When trying to clamp your clit solo, you have two factors working against you--the first is vaginal moisture and the second is the inability to see what you are doing. I guess I should also mention that having an erect clit also plays a role when clamping. It took me three attempts to attach the Y clit clamp because first one of the rubber ends came off of the clamp--OUCH! Then, the slide mechanism had gotten wet and wouldn't slide. Finally, the third attempt I got it! OMG DID I ever get it. I think my eyes are still rolling around on my bedroom floor...intense doesn't begin to describe the feeling. But then my body adjusted to the sensation and I went into my "what if" mode--like what if I tried my Hitachi Magic Wand Vibrator on my clit while it was clamped?

I would soon find out as I floated off into another place on another planet in a solar system not yet discovered. I felt my body explode in one of the most intense orgasms that I have ever experienced.

I am rating the Y Style Clit and Nipple Clamps in three areas--ease of use for solo play, appearance, and feeling.

Solo play with these clamps is possible but not something that I would recommend to a new beginner without a partner. The slide mechanism of the clamps is difficult when it gets moist. If you must play solo, I would strongly recommend playing with the clamps off of your body so that you become familiar with the slide so if they need to be removed quickly while on your body you aren't fumbling for release.

I have to give these clamps a 5 star rating for appearance. They do look exotic when applied; and, can be worn under clothes.

Finally for feeling, I have to divide this rating into feeling for nipples and feeling for clit. I wasn't impressed at all with the nipple clamps. I can pinch my nipples harder than these clamps clamped my nipples. If you are looking for that pain/pleasure combination, these are not the nipple clamps for you. Another issue was the rubber tips sliding off when moist was a little frustrating; so, I have to give a 1 star rating for feeling.

Now the clit clamp feeling is a totally different story. I give the clit clamp a 5 star rating. I would absolutely recommend this clit clamp to a new beginner because while the feeling is intense it isn't too intense; and, with a partner, the tension is easily adjustable. It is also important to mention that the clit and nipple clamps are removable so if you wanted to use only the clit clamp you could.

Since using these clamps involved bodily fluids, be sure to use either anti-bacterial soap or a toy cleaner and dry thoroughly to prevent rusting. My favorite toy cleaner is the System JO anti-bacterial toy cleaner. I especially want to mention removing the rubber tips before cleaning as this is where a lot of the bodily fluids can become trapped.
