If you are looking for a bit of fun and excitement in the bedroom, and an opportunity to get into a bit of a more niche sexual market, the Impressions Paddle Hearts will give you what you are looking for. In the hands of either the novice or expert, this little beauty will coax a more adventurous side out of both the giver and receiver. While I was secretly hoping for heart-shaped imprints on my buns, I can't be too upset that they didn't materialize since the paddle is top notch in nearly every other way!

The overall design of this paddle is quite lovely. The black handle and paddle give way to a peek-a-boo of red hearts with the split design, allowing each and every spank to reverberate both physically and audibly with a more satisfying "smack". I expected the paddle to be a little larger overall, though I am not disappointed with the size in the end. (As long as you've got the right person in the driver's seat, you will get more than enough bang for your buck.) The leather is well-made with nicely done stitching and has a smooth and solid feel, allowing for a nice amount of contact with every swing. The only thing that I can genuinely say was a let down, was the small loop at the end of the paddle; it is not quite large enough to wrap around your wrist during your throes of passion (allowing for the slight possibility that the paddle may go flying through the air.) Though, this was easily remedied by putting a longer tie through the grommet and continuing on with our play time.

My man and I were quite pleased with this addition to our collection and while it did not create the lovely little heart imprints on either of us, it left plenty for us to know that we wanted more. The smaller size of the paddle allows for you to get a nice amount of momentum going before contact and the split construction gives you the pleasing sounds that you are looking for. We typically use this for light play, but it can definitely open the doors for anyone looking to try more adventurous things.

With a light, non-abrasive soap, you can keep this paddle working in tip-top shape. Also, the use of leather wipes has definitely kept a nice glisten to the leather of the paddle and makes it more aesthetically pleasing.

Being a less intrusive toy for a beginner, the Impressions Heart Paddle was a perfect step for my man to delve into the play that is B&D (which he now loves.) It took a little coaxing at first, as someone who had not previously experienced spanking/flogging, but once the level of intensity was established, he jumped right in with both feet. If not for this paddle, I may have had to wait a bit longer for his mindset to open up to the B&D door of sexy time!
