You won't burn me
A lot of rope for a very cheap price. Very soft to the touch making it perfect for any beginner and pleasant for those who just dabble in bondage!Published: March 9, 2011
Pros:
Length, feel, beginner friendly
Cons:
taped ends, non-discrete packaging
Available in several colors, this rope is the best rope I've sampled in its price range. For just over ten dollars you get 35 feet of very soft, strong rope. I would recommend this for any beginner who is worried about comfort on their first bondage escapade. The rope has just enough give to it to respond well to tight knots and extended wear without ruining the original tension.
Care is very simple. Personally I use a small amount of liquid detergent or soap with warm water in a bucket/sink. Fill up the container with warm water and put some soap in your hands, then run your hands over the rope. Rinse thoroughly. If you want you can soak the rope in a bit of fabric softener and warm water for a few minutes. However you launder it be sure you get all the cleaning agent out or it will cause the rope to deteriorate.
I personally hated the silver taped ends, so I ripped them off. To keep the rope from fraying I simply tied the ends in a knot, which has worked very well and not impeded my ability to work with the rope. The tape does leave a silver residue on the rope if you simply pull off the tape though, which doesn't bother me, but you could cut off the tape bits to avoid this.
For color quality I was a little disappointed. I was hoping the color would be as vibrant as it is on the website/packaging, but my particular sample was a dull purple instead. I may rectify this with some dye (and if I do, it will be in the follow up review!).
The packaging was definitely not discrete and for some is probably quite on the raunchy side. It's just simple cardboard packaging so most will not be keeping it. The rope also comes with a free blindfold, which I haven't tried out and probably never will because I'm married to another one. ;)

"fetish fantasy series japanese silk rope" -- not silk
-
LazyNinjalink manufacturers page states that this rope is actually made out of cotton.
Talk about a misleading/lying branding system. Is Japanese Silk a trademark of theirs that they make out of chinese cotton?

'Silk' bondage rope listed under 'suspension kits'
-
Hey, Eden? I would like to respectfully suggest you remove this from the 'suspension kits' category. This type of rope is *not* safe for suspension. It's not real silk (Pipedream has confirmed it is actually a cotton/polyester blend), so can fray easily, stretch, and is just a poor idea if you don't want to risk dropping your submissive on their head.

I made sure to put in my review that the rope is not intended for suspension or partail suspension

what are they made of
-
This is a question that could easily be answered by reading the product page! If you just scan it really quickly you can see that hey, these silk ropes are made of rope! It also gives you a link explaining the care of the materials, which is this link! A lot of these questions are better left off of the forums! :)

But yeah, materials are always listed on the product's page, billybobtoy. It'll always be to the left of the product's picture, and it'll link to some basic care instructions. Though if you need more in-depth information, don't hesitate to ask.
