Best of its kind
These are cheap dental dams that are great if you want to protect yourself and your partner during oral sex.Published: November 14, 2011
Pros:
protective
Cons:
it's something you have to stretch and hold over the area so your hands will not be free
I first got these latex dental dams from the "Sexperts" group at my university. They gave these away as well as condoms and lubricants as freebies at a Sexperts event. I have to say, if you are going to buy dental dams, these are the ones to get.
Dental dams protect against STIs while performing oral sex. The could also be used to protect yourself while giving a "rim job" They are nice and stretchy, so all you do is stretch the dental dam over the area you are going to be coming in contact with. These ones are flavored, so you do not have to put up with a gross latex taste in your mouth and inhaling the scent of latex.
These dental dams are rather cheap, but if you cannot afford your own, you can make them. Cut down the side of a condom so that you have a rectangle, and voila, you have created your own dental dam. Also, non-microwaveable plastic wrap (but make sure that the plastic wrap is in fact non-microwaveable, or it will allow fluids to still be exchanged).
Many people do not use dental dams during oral sex since they believe that they will not exchange STIs through oral-to-genital or oral-to-anal contact. It is still a possibility, so protecting yourself with a product such as this is a good idea.
Also, oral-to-anal contact can turn some off, while being an exciting thing for others. If the thought of sticking your tongue in and around your partner's anus makes you uneasy, this can allow you to do that while 1) keeping your mouth clean, 2) protecting yourself from STIs, and 3) pleasing your partner.
These dental dams should be carried around as often as you carry condoms around. You never know when you could be having oral sex, and you want to protect yourself when that time comes!

Binder help

Anybody have any helpful reviews /tips on binders? Anybody have a bad experience with underworks?
-
Well, I have two Underworks binders and I don't like them that much because of the sizing. I'm between a small and a medium so while the medium one doesn't keep me as effectively flat and the small looks great, the small is way too uncomfortable to wear on a regular basis.

I have used Underworks and T-kingdom and I like my underworks one much better than the ones from t-kingdom.

Are there any latex free dental dams?
-
Latex and I do not get along at all. Does anyone know where I can find dental dams that are latex free? Thanks in advance!

flufflerompWell, I don't know about dental dams, but I read that Saran wrap can be used in place of a dental dam, I suppose also to cut the costs as well. Only problem I would guess is that it sticks together very easily. That's as close to a specific dental dam that I know of, but there are other options such as cutting off the tip of a condom and then cutting it up the shaft towards where the tip had been, and also using a nonlatex glove by cutting off the fingers and up the side of the palm. Tongue can go into the thumb spot of the glove. I only read about the last two but I think the condom one would be the best bet, and there are non-latex gloves out there for the other. Flavored lube may help out with the taste on the condoms, but I'm not sure if there are flavored non-latex ones. It may also help to look on online for other alternatives as well. I hope this helped some! :D I haven't tried these but I have read about them, again online is a good source for other options and as double checks for these as well to. These might not be specific dental dams, but they probably are things that you have around your house or apartment. -

How do you use it?
-
Do you just use it like a condom for oral purposes by putting it over the body parts you want it to cover, like a sheet? I've read the only review on it, but want to know more. Thank you.
-
Yes, you've got it :) You place the dam on the area you intend to lick, etc., and it acts as a barrier. I recommend putting a little lube at least on the side that is touching the receiver, so it will more easily stick where it's placed.
