Trojan ultra ribbed condoms - male condom discontinued by Church and Dwight - review by ACCOUNT3482

I was expecting the best from Trojan's Ultra Ribbed condoms. Unfortunately, my expectations were unrealistic. Although Trojan claims that these condoms are lubricated, I found that they were extremely dry. In fact, it seemed as if they weren't lubricated at all. All the condoms I've used from brands such as Kimono and Durex have been lubricated decently. Even some of the other condoms from Trojan had passable lubrication. I just don't know what was up with Trojan's Ultra Ribbed condoms. Also, the ribbing was a bit stiff. It felt rougher than other ribbed condom's.

Despite this, I did like the bronze color of the condom. Aesthetically, it is a delight. Unfortunately, aesthetic appearance isn't what I look for in a good condom. As well as a pretty shape and color, this seems to be a moderately strong condom. I used two of them and they were very strong and held their form. I also did a test on a third condom to find its breaking point. These condoms seemed to be strong, decent, and well made.

If you like a scratchier feel and don't care about lubrication, this condom may fulfill your expectations. It was well made and pretty. If you're looking for a condom to carry every day, try a latex-free brand. There are so many people who are allergic to natural rubber latex. I think that Trojan fails to see this. Decent for STD and contraceptive protection, Trojan's Ultra Ribbed condoms get 2 stars in my book. Though I was upset with their lack of lubrication and their texture, I can't deny that they're decently made. I would definitely trade in this condom for something less attractive that is latex-free and generously lubricated.

Though I won't be buying them again, I'm not put off by other products by Trojan. Trojan has made some quality condoms and I just don't think that their Ultra Ribbed kind are their best effort.

I was definitely displeased with these condoms. When I used them, my eyes immediately widened in shock because of their scratchy quality. They're strong, but not really pleasing to use. Of course, if they are used correctly, they're good for temporary STD and contraceptive protection.
