Beyond seven - male condom discontinued by Okamoto - review by Gardenvy

Beyond Seven condoms are distributed by Okamoto U.S.A., Inc. located in Stratford CT, and these condoms were made in Japan. "The Sheerlon Difference" is what Beyond Seven has adopted as their slogan. Beyond Seven condoms are thin condoms, designed to make your experience feel "bare back" and natural. Fun! They are made of natural rubber SHEERLON and are lightly lubricated. Very lightly lubricated might I add, you may need to add additional lubrication, so have it handy.

I received a ton of these condoms, among many others, in a gift bag last year for my birthday, and did not get the original cardboard box outer packaging. As for the condoms themselves, they come in the normal style of vacuum sealed condom tear strips, with the print being gold on a black background. Beyond Seven is printed in a sleek font with no "feet" or "shoulders" (for lack of a better reference) on the letters. Looking at them, It seems they give off a presence of a "higher class" of condom, but it could just be the gold on black color scheme that has made me feel that way.

As the other reviews have stated, these condoms run on the smaller size and as the plus, they are so thin you can barely feel them. Because of their small size, I like to use these for over my vibrators and dildos. When I use these over my toys, they are very form fitting and make the toy feel as if it were condom less. All of the toys that I own measure no larger than 1 1/2" in girth. I have never had a Beyond Seven condom break when used with my toys, and I have used dozens so far. Actually to be quite honest, I use all of my condoms only on my toys. I'm in a monogamist relationship, so I didn't have the personal experience of how this condom fit or performed on my partner's penis. That was until today. He so kindly and very willingly was my science experiment earlier this afternoon, and let me try these bad boys out on him.

Now, in my experience, I can say these condoms DO perform well in the "barely there" feeling department, but they under perform in their size. These condoms measure 7 inches long and will fit most penises around 1 1/4" in girth. They were able to roll down about half of my partners penis and that's as far as we got. It was plain to see that they were much too snug for his comfort. I went ahead and tasted the condom, and it doesn't taste like much. I thought it would be much worse but this condom doesn't smell or taste too bad at all. If you're looking for a good tasting condom, you could always choose a flavored one. I did noticed that the condom could use a lot more lubrication added to both the inside and outside if we were planning on going for the goal, but for a blow job it was just fine. Eventually after a few minutes of use, my partner had to take off the condom. As he became more aroused and swollen, the condom got tighter and semi-painful (but not in a good way).

I am giving Beyond Seven condoms a 4 out of 5 star rating for the awesome barely there feel, the fact that I have never broken one even though they are thin, and also because these condoms do not fit all penises. If these condoms fit all sizes of penises, then I would have given a 5 star rating for performance.

So that's what I'm left with, just what I started with. A good condom for toy use but won't work well for sexual intercourse unless you're average or smaller than average size. You know, it's beyond me, why they don't decide to make these just a wee bit larger.

My opinion hasn't changed about these. I still feel exactly the same as I did when I first wrote the review.
I often use these over my toys just to ease cleaning.
Lately I've taken it upon myself to give condoms out to people when I'm at a bar or event. I have some cards made up with my blog address on it that I give with the condoms. I try to make safer sex an every day thing, and I figure if I hand out condoms at least half of the people will actually use them. That in itself makes me happy.
