Kimono maxx review

I, as a woman, like these condoms. My partner does too. They do what they're supposed to, fit great, don't smell bad, and are reasonably priced.

These condoms are (so far) the best I've ever used of the "larger" variety. I know that the fit is often just preferential for guys - the right size is just the right size. It seems like my partner and I have been through every brand that's out there looking for the perfect fit. He's a "larger" kind of guy and is limited to that variety of condoms because of it.

We used Trojan Magnums|Trojan magnum XL 12 pack condoms for a while, but neither of us liked the way they felt, and we had more than one break. He finds these to be more comfortable than any of the other major brands and speculates that they are the largest in diameter. Comfort aside, as a safety matter this is important because on of the reasons that condoms break is that they're too small for the wang they're covering.

As a woman I really like them too. They don't smell funky, in fact, they don't really smell like anything at all. In addition to the obvious reasons that I appreciate that, I'm kind of a snob about not using sex toys|The Facts on Phthalates and Sex Toys that smell like chemicals and rubber, so what would be the point of protecting them with a condom that does? I use them to keep my toys cleaner and they don't impart their own odor. I love that.

The package is easy to open. They go on easily and are only lightly lubricated. My favorite thing about them is that they are really thin (in fact, I think you can find actual comparative measurements of thickness on the net somewhere), and I have no fear of them breaking. Now, don't get me wrong. They're not "so thin it feels like nothing's there"! So far in my experience, a condom is a condom as far as knowing something's there. But they are better than most.

My partner and I have used Kimono Maxx condoms|Kimono® maxx condom exclusively for over a year and never had an accident with them. Maybe that's actually the best part.

The only downside to them in my opinion is that they aren't available at any stores (at least in our area). We buy them online and save money anyway, but availability would be nice.

How thin are these compared to other condoms?
  • Contributor: Lollie
Hey Dreamer, sorry it took so long to respond, I must have missed your comment! These are the thinnest condoms I have ever used, and we've tried alot. I don't really have a basis for comparison other than that. One time after we had been using these for a while we used a Trojan... ha! It was like he was wearing three condoms compared to what we were used to.

    No breakage?
  • Contributor: Lollie
NEVER had any breakage with them. Now of course, that doesn't mean it can't or won't happen, but our luck has been good. I really think that it's due to the quality and not just luck though, because we've had other brands break more than once.
