Durex pleasure pack - male condom discontinued by Durex - review by Spicy Sunday

The information for this product on EdenFantasys says the pack includes 3 Performax (climax control lubricant), 3 Intense Sensation (studded), and 3 Colors and Scents (colored and flavored). I have bought them in a package elsewhere that included additional styles, but I will only review the three types found in this package here.

First, I have used a number of varieties of condoms over the years, and I've never had a Durex condom break during normal use. Obviously I can't make any 100% guarantees, but I've had very good luck with them and would consider them a very dependable brand. They are made of latex, so you should not use them if you have a latex allergy. If you don't have problems using latex, though, they are a dependable and economical choice.

My partner really likes the Performax variety. They come pre-lubricated with a climax control lubricant, which according to the packaging is 5% benzocaine (-caine substances are topical anesthetics, like lidocaine and novocaine). We usually add a little additional lube to this kind and then go for it! It definitely doesn't numb either party completely. My partner describes it as making the sensation "slightly less intense." He suggests if you want stronger numbing of sensation this probably won't be enough for you, but if you just want to add 5 minutes or so, these work great for him. I like it because it gives us time for me to have two orgasms during one session. Fantastic!

The next kind is Intense Sensation "featuring hundreds of raised studs." I really wanted this kind to be fun, it seems like a fun idea, but for me the bumps are too small to really make much of a difference in sensation. The manufacturers obviously tried to strike a balance between adding bumps and keeping the overall thickness of the condom relatively thin. They are okay but there are other brands I like better for wacky bumps/ridges (Durex makes Pleasure Max and Her Sensation which I prefer because they have rings around the circumference and those work better for me personally). For some reason my partner finds the Intense Sensation condoms to be one of his favorite brands overall. Maybe it has something to do with the afternoon he was chasing me around the room, waving his Intense Sensation-ed penis at me and making tentacle jokes? ;) (The bumps are very small and not octopus-like at all, don't be alarmed!)

Finally, the Colors and Scents. These are exactly what they say, colored and flavored/scented with fruit lube. In a box of 24 I got from another retailer, I got strawberry, orange, and banana. Not sure what assortment you'd get here. The flavors are similar to a decent quality favored lube - that is, you won't be stashing them in your candy drawer at work to snack on, they aren't that good. Of course they contain no sugar, that would cause infections, so they are artificially flavored and sweetened. If you can stand artificial flavors, they are a fun addition to oral sex, especially if you are a beginner and uncertain about how it would taste without a condom. I've tried mixing them with different flavors of Wet brand lube and you can get a fruit cocktail thing going. Cherry orange! Watermelon strawberry! Blueberry banana! You get the idea.

Overall they are good quality, reasonable price, and offer a fun variety. I'd recommend them!

I've just realized that this site sells this brand and I may toss a few into my virtual cart next time I'm shopping here. I've previously bought them at a big box discount store, and one time I went through the checkout with them, I had a funny experience. The clerk who was ringing up my purchases started chatting with me out of the blue about how it was too bad I didn't buy them the previous week, because they were on sale for 30% off, and the employees of the store were grabbing as many of them as they could because lots of them loved that brand. I'm happy for them that they are all friendly enough to discuss their condom preferences with each other! But seriously, I thought EdenFantasys readers might want to know that nearly the entire pharmacy department of that store can't get enough of these condoms!
