I should first say that I don't have an allergy to latex and as such probably don't take into consideration what a godsend these must be for some people; however, I got a pack and this is my take on them.

They are a made of polyisoprene which is supposed to be just as good as latex, without the negative effects for some of us. Along with it we used the water-based lube that came with one of our variety packs (it was a long weekend), as well as Astroglide (also water based). Both worked quite well with this condom and everything hummed along nicely.

They worked well, much like any ordinary condom. They seemed a little thick; however, most of my experience is with the "ultra sensitive" and "Thyn" varieties so perhaps these are closer to how a typical condom is. The first thing I noticed when I opened one was the smell, though my partner did not seem to notice it terribly. It smelled odd; I could not help thinking of a long opened bag of potato chips mixed with a strange twang. (I know, it's odd but that's my take on it.) After it was put on, the smell was far enough away that it was not a bother. Though when putting my hands up against the headboard for leverage I could smell the odor wafting off of them.

It was then time to put it to use. As for that, it worked quite well, staying in place perfectly as it did its simple but necessary job as well as any other condom. It was, as I said before, made of a slightly thicker material and doesn't quite live up to its "closest thing to nothing" slogan. In fact it decreased my sensitivity a bit, which in turn increased longevity by a few minutes; this in itself may be of interest to some.
