Seems better than it really is.
I think these condoms seem like a lot of fun, but if they are used for traditional sex, the wait just isn't worth it. I think maybe they would be better suited for something such as covering a toy, because you would be able to hold it to a light source for a longer period of time. Unless you are very patient and can sit waiting with your partner, I wouldn't recommend them.Published: October 6, 2009
Pros:
Good quality condom, fun idea.
Cons:
Don't glow enough, fairly costly for condoms.
I was excited to try these condoms because I thought it would be fun to use them in the dark. Each condom is in a package that has a clear side and a dark side, which allows you to hold them to a light source while they are still in the package. I held the pack of condoms up to the light for a minute right when I got them, and then shut the lights off. I was very impressed with how much they glowed, and thought they would surely be a lot of fun when I used them with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, I ended up being quite disappointed with them.
The instructions said that you could hold the condom up to the light while it was still in the wrapper, but that it would glow more if you exposed it to a light source after you had put on. I held it to the light for over 30 seconds (the recommended time) and then kept the light on for about 30 seconds after my boyfriend had put it on. When we turned the lights off, there was a very dim glow, so we turned the lights back on and held it directly in front of the light for a bit. It was still quite dim, but at this point both of us were tired of waiting and used it the way it was.
As far as the quality of the condom goes, I would say it was good. None of the ones we used broke, and they were not uncomfortable or strange smelling. Overall a decent condom, but not worth the price markup for the novelty aspect. I later tried holding the condom to a light source and it does glow if held long enough. I would say however, that the 30 seconds recommended on the package are not sufficient.

What Makes Them Glow?
-
Does anybody know what they put in these condoms that makes them glow in the dark? Reviews don't really get into it, and the product page doesn't say. I've never tried them before, either, so I can't really look on the package.

Here's some info on it.

Night Light Condoms-Who wants to try them?
-
Anyone interested in the Night Light condoms? I just requested them as a free assignment and am really excited about reviewing them! First I'm going to try them on my husband Jonathan, and then I'm going to try them on my favorite glass dildo.
Basically I'm looking for some comments, some stories, and overall, some experience. I've only seen one review on them, but I'm hoping that someone out there knows what these are like. Thanks in ahead of time! -
Sounds like a fun find. I've seen neon condoms before but those worked best with a black light.

I'll try!! :D

Yeah, I'm not very patient...but I'm still really excited about using these! I'm going to try one on my husband, and then on my favorite glass dildo! Thanks for the review, by the way.
It's not for the first time that I read that such condoms don't really glow...
