Before I even opened the product I was impressed. It comes wrapped in a beautiful organza bag, and inserted with the packaging is a small card. The card thanks you for your purchase, mine was a special edition apparently, and informs you that 10% of the proceeds will benefit YouthAIDS, which is an HIV/AIDS education program of Population Services International. Helping others by having safe sex... maybe I’ll have to start having safer sex more often, I mean it’s for the good of mankind right?

It’s sexy and discreet! This little square case measures 2 ½” long by 2 ½” wide by 1” high. Weighing in at 0.1 lb it’s incredibly lightweight, including the two Lifestyles condoms that were included inside as a little gift to get you started. The shell is made of clear plastic material, with a metallic red (In my case) inset. The top of the Just In Case has a pretty heart shape emblazoned on the cover in raised red little diamonds. It looks like a stylish, everyday little compact mirror when really it’s keeping your safe sex secret. One minute it’s a harmless compact, the next your saving your own world (like Superman and Clark Kent!). The case is just big enough to hold two guaranteed condoms. But there is nothing saying that you couldn’t mix and match: condom and lube, small sex toys, love notes, pills, or anything else small and secretive.

In comparison to the newer version, I think I liked the original Just in Case better. Just In Case is more of a square, and just slightly bigger than the newer version of Just In Case 2. I believe the material is a bit hardier, and so far it has stood up to more wear and tear than my Just in Case 2 (2 is scuffed up, and fading, while the original still remains new looking.) Both products have a mission and complete it, providing a safer sex option, so in the end it’s really just a matter of preference.(I happen to like the square red compact.. but I like the color red.)

Just In Case gives a girl the opportunity to be prepared for anything. Instead of relying on your partner to be responsible, you can take safe sex into your own hands. It’s definitely better than shoving condoms into the bottom of your bag, or using one that’s been crushed in your partner’s wallet. And it really is discreet. Your purse can spill open, your girlfriends can snatch it to check their reflection and if they don't know what they are looking for, they'll never know what you've got hidden away. My best friend knew I had the newer Just in Case 2, so when she saw the new red one I was sporting she gave me a devilish little grin. We went out that night and she kept insisting on using my "mirror" to check her face, make sure it was still there. Our other friends thought we were nuts making such a fuss over a compact! As the night progressed my friend and her fiance were making a quick departure and she asked if she could take my compact home for the night. Which of course confused the heck out of our girl friends. We flipped open the compact, flipped open the cargo container, all to a chorus of gasps and giggles. They were thrilled that there was a product out on the market designed to make sex safer, and more fun. It's been the topic of conversation for the last week now, everyone wants the ability to take the responsibility and power of their own sexuality into their own hands. My female friends find it both flirtatious and empowering. Their male friends find it incredibly hot that their partners are confident enough, and proud enough of their bodies to take control and responsibility when it comes to safe sex.

This product has withstood being battered in the bottom of my "Mary Poppins" purse. It's a little scuffed but it's still red, beautiful, and works like a charm. This is one of those products that once people figure out what it is, they can't stop asking about where it came from and how I wound up with one and where can they get one! This is a must have product for EVERYONE out there. I plan on tossing these into the gift bags for my best friend’s bachelorette party!!
