A Revolution with mixed feelings.

The O2 Revolution is definitely worth trying if you're up for the larger than average sized head, and curious about the dual density O2 material. Unfortunately for us, bigger was not better with this dildo; but it's still a very high quality toy that deserves consideration. I'm disappointed that it didn't work as good as I had hoped for, but it was still fun testing it out!

Use

If you're looking for a dildo that packs a serious punch and is made of a high quality material, then this might be the toy for you. With the flared base, it can be used safely for anal play if you're up for the challenge, or used with a harness that can accommodate it's nearly 2" diameter. There's no suction cup base on this toy for hands free use, but the flared base will provide some stability on hard surfaces and makes it easier to hold onto while in use. Unless you are fairly experienced with toys of this size, you might want to take precautions before diving right in. Make sure you're good and warmed up and have plenty of water based lube on hand. This is not a discreet toy by any means so make sure you keep this one in a good hiding place, unless having your toys on display is the way you like to roll.

Material / Texture

While this toy was not the bomb that we had hoped it would be, it's O2 silicone material does have some promise. On a recent adult toy store visit, while out of town, we were introduced to the O2 material by the sales clerk. Historically, we dislike dildos that are tacky or sticky to the touch and this new O2 material seemed like the cure to that problem. While we didn't purchase that toy, (and I can't remember which one it was) we did excitedly order the O2 Revolution from Eden thinking that we would get a dildo that had the same texture as the one we had felt in the toy store.

The O2 Revolution still has a somewhat tacky texture, but not as bad as its pure silicone counterpart. It seems as though not all the O2 silicone dildos have the same feel. The head of the toy is much more squishy than the shaft which has very subtle veins running up and down it. All in all, the material and texture of this toy make it an interesting variation to the norm.

As far as care goes, the same principles apply with this material as it does with the regular pure silicone toys.

Design / Shape / Size

So, this is the part of the review where things come crumbling down for us. The head of this toy is where the real girth is at, and being nearly 2" in diameter proved to be just a little too much. I think that if the thickness were reversed; the head smaller, and the shaft slowly thicker, it would work better.

For some, the larger head probably allows for better G-spot simulation, but for me; moving this toy in and out was just not feeling that great. It wasn't painful or anything, it just wasn't getting the job done. I really wanted to like this toy but with every use it was the same experience.

On the flip side, I did like the fact that even though this is considered a realistic dildo, it didn't have that creepy realistic look that some dildos have.

For the average user this will be a good challenge that you may or may not enjoy. I would say that if you like your toys on the larger size and would like to try one where the girth is in the head, then this might be a good fit.

Performance

As mentioned before, I really thought this toy would be the one that set the bar high. If the material wasn't as tacky, it would help with the mental situation. However, I think the real problem is that we should have started out smaller and then worked our way up. I would like to try another smaller O2 dildo because I think the material is a great concept and may feel a little better with more wiggle room. It wasn't as if this dildo didn't fit, because it definitely did; it just got to be annoying after a while because it wasn't getting the job done. It was like the head was locked in place, and in and out thrusting was not an option. This made it difficult to get much G-spot stimulation plus that wonderful stretched feeling was just not in the right place. With all the great reviews out there for this toy, it makes me feel bad that it wasn't a home run for us also. I can see why so many people like this toy and feel like it still deserves a good rating from us as well, even though it probably won't see much mileage in our collection.

Care and Maintenance

As with other silicone toys, the O2 dildo may be boiled or cleaned in a mild bleach solution and is not a porous material that can harvest bacteria. It's important to only use water based lubricants with this toy, similar to other silicone toys. Unfortunately, it is a lint magnet and that can be annoying, but it's just a matter of keeping it clean just before use and storing it in a lint free place. The package that the toy comes in is great for storage and solves the lint problem at the same time. It's pretty much as easy as that, which is the great thing about the O2 material.
