And Then There Were Balls
Looking for a sexy but functional harness that keeps your cock locked and loaded but allows for your balls to hang free? Relax, Commando is here! Made from beautiful, sleek leather and nickel plated closures, this sturdy strap-on can be worn comfortably under or out of clothing. This makes it a great choice for pack and play or anyone interested in strap-on sex of any kind.Published: August 29, 2010
Pros:
Removable strap accommodates all dildos and styles, lifetime warranty, sexy, durable
Cons:
Sheds a bit, may not fit all sizes
I've been a truly proud and loyal own of my ASLAN Jaguar for a few years now and have had no complaints with it but for one; I cannot use the dildos I own with hanging balls.
Most dildos do not have the balls positioned forward toward the head of the shaft such as Vixen's Goodfella, but rather the balls attached to the base. The Jaguar and many other harnesses cannot accommodate these sorts of dildos, which is why the Commando interested me so much. It promised to fulfill these dreams of swinging balls at whim, and my. Lord. did it deliver. Sorry, Jag, but you'll be on a little vacation for at least a few weeks now. To the toy box with you!
As you can see in the video for the ASLAN Commando, it is a double strap harness just like the Jaguar, but with one important difference. While the Jaguar's straps are stitched to a panel of leather on which the O-ring snaps are mounted, the straps of the Commando themselves are fitted with snaps and attached to the O-ring. This difference may seem minor, but it allows for a lot more versatility and far more options in what cocks can be used. For anyone that appreciates realism and dildos or prosthetics that are equipped with testicles, this is harness is indispensable. The space between each strap allows enough room for balls to hang free. I'm telling you, that feeling of your own balls slapping against your partner's ass? It's something I've never experienced until the Commando, and if you haven't had the pleasure DO put it on your Bucket List.
The one difficulty associated with this design is that the base of the dildo will be flush up against the flesh beneath the O-ring. If the harness is not closed tightly the dildo can have a tendency to slide around and irritate the skin. My strap-on dildos are all made from 100% silicone which has quite a bit of drag, so they can tug at bit at my pubic hair. A little talc or corn starch helps reduce friction, and as long as you're strapped in tightly this should not be much of a problem. The two top most straps that attach to the O-ring have two snap options that allow you to sling the dildo lower or higher, which will also help keep it on track and prevent discomfort and chaffing. This is also great if you prefer your cock to hang lower in order to provide a little pressure on the clit, or if you like it higher up for a greater sense of control.
Besides the chance for chafing, everything else is gravy. This baby is made from beautiful, fragrant black leather finished on one side and "raw" and rough on the other. The rough side does shed at first, but this is only a slight nuisance. The buckles on this garment can fit comfortably on hips up to 46" around and those down to a size zero if needed (I had a friend test it!) Strong stitching and sturdy rivets are peppered liberally along the straps of this harness, making it very durable and capable of withstanding serious stress. This is a great choice if you aren't exactly delicate during your play! If you don't dig the dual strap style, one of the straps can be removed, and the remained strap moved along the waistline toward the center to create an attractive G-string effect. And perhaps best of all, the thigh straps and the hip straps can both be adjusted, the first by D ring closures and the second by buckles. As with many other harnesses, you may find it desirable to trim the straps (especially the thigh straps) to rid yourself of excess, dangling material.

Experience
(continued from above)
And this thing is SERIOUSLY comfortable. Unlike the Jag, the leather is less squishy and snugly, but it's still remarkably easy to forget you're wearing it at times because it's so unobtrusive. It can easily be worn discreetly and comfortably under clothing, making it ideal for pack and play. Hell, I actually fell asleep next to my partner post-coitus with this thing on, and was only awakened when my baby complained my hard-on was poking him in the back (oops!) It's really that wonderful. Just like a good pair of Doc Martens or any fine leather garment, a little breaking in is required. It can be a little stiff and awkward at first, but it's nothing that a little extra time in the bedroom with it won't fix. Think of it as an excuse to play.
Cleaning this harness is quite easy. Simply remove the rubber O-ring and clean separately with antibacterial soap and warm water: dry thoroughly before placing back in the harness. The rest of the leather can be spot cleaned with a moist rag and a tiny bit of gentle soap if needed, which can be softly massaged into the leather. Make sure to clean ALL soap off with a damp cloth and remember to never ever rinse or submerge your harness! Q-tips can be used to clean lube out of nooks and crannies around the snaps, but be sure to dry the metal rivets and such so as to prevent tarnishing. ASLAN also recommends you coat snaps and rivets with clear nail polish to avoid this, but keep in mind that this will chip over time and will need to be reapplied routinely. Leather should never be stored unless completely dried; leave in open air for 24-48 hours to dry after washing. Keep your harness in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight in order to maintain its quality. I know this probably sounds like a lot, but because there is so little leather to this thing you really don't have to do much cleaning, and when you do it's usually with a Q-tip. Not so bad, eh?

Follow-up commentary

I wish there were a button for "I've started to like it slightly less but overall I still think it's a keeper." But I guess that would be kinda wordy, wouldn't it? That's how I feel about this product though! I love my Commando but compared to my Jaguar I guess I never quite got used to the roughness of the material, the sharp edges of the leather and, my gosh, the SHEDDING is just silly! Most leather products that shed eventually let up after a time, but Commando is still making my favorite silicone dildos all ashy with black pills of lint. Yick.
Don't get me wrong. I love this product in spite of these issues and the good definitely outweighs the bad. But still, I have to say I'm less thrilled these days with the Commando than I was initially.

Is this harness good for clit stimulation?

That's the only kind of harness I want to get. One that will be good for clit stimulation while using.

Commando Hair-Friendly?
-
Is this product friendly for all types of genital coiffe? Some hairier types don't meld well with devices like these, and I wonder if this is an exception?
-
In any harness the hair is going to get tangled around the dong's base, since you have the harness on while inserting the dong. Putting on underwear first could keep the hair loss down to a minimum. I wear underwear underneath my latex strap on.

Does this Harness sit low enough?

Does this Harness sit low enough for use with a shared or double ended diodo?
I've tried a few double strap harnesses before, but I was hoping by the looks of this one it sits low enough for the wearer to have the double ended dildo inside her and supported with the 'O' ring to use on her partner?

commando harness bleeding?
-
i am interested in getting the commando harness as a first harness, but i hear it bleeds. is this true? if so can i exchange it for a vegan? id much rather have a leather harness for the quality, so any help you can offer would be appreciated.
-
Mine is the only Aslan product that I ever got that bled everytime I washed it or stained my skin blue green when I sweat, so try something else!!! Try their Jaguar. It's soft garment leather rather than latigo leather.

The leather we use use for the Commando does not bleed when it becomes wet, we try to keep our leather supply consistent but on rare occasion due to shortages our supplier will ship a slightly different product. The harness you have may have been produced with an alternate batch of leather which was less resistant to color bleed. You can send your harness directly to us and we will replace it with a new Commando harness.
Please send your harness to our PO box listed on the ASLAN website.

Thank you for viewing Commando – dildo harness review page!

Great review!
Fantastic review! Thanks.
Great review - I love your discussion of ways to mitigate dildo chafing.
Thanks everyone! The chafing might only be for people with some amount of pubic hair, I can't speak for those that shave/wax!
Great review!
Your title. is so awesome. Agatha FTW!
And great review
I always enjoy reading your reviews, and the video is great!
Do you think it would catch in pubic hair?
As I said in my review, "My strap-on dildos are all made from 100% silicone which has quite a bit of drag, so they can tug at bit at my pubic hair. Oh, this is a great review... and the harness sounds like a winner. Thanks so much!
Nice review
Great review. Thank you.
Great review. Thanks!
Phenomenal review. I just wish both sides of the leather straps were finished.
Happy Camper, I couldn't agree more. This gets less use than my Jaguar and it's in large part because it's just not as comfy. If both sides of the leather were finished it might be a different story!
great review!
Thanks for the review
