Champlette review

There is a slight upward curve to the shaft. The tip starts out small and gradually the girth gets thicker the closer you get to the base. I call this the “grow as you go” feature and would recommend it to beginners who want to prepare themselves for a larger toy or the “real thing”.

Champlette|Dildo by Vixen Creations is a straight forward type of dildo. With a length of 6 ½ inches and a girth of 1 ¾ inches I would file this dildo under the size category of “medium, borderline large”. Anything with a diameter over 1 ¾ is large in my opinion.

There is a slight upward curve to the shaft. The tip starts out small and gradually the girth gets thicker the closer you get to the base. I call this the “grow as you go” feature and would recommend it to beginners who want to prepare themselves for a larger toy or the “real thing”.

The flared base is good for four things. First, it made for a nice handle when using on self or partner. Second, it can be suctioned to the bath tub, floor, or pretty much anything with a flat surface. Third, it makes it safe for anal play. And fourth, it is harness compatible.

My experience with the Champlette was short lived. Only a few short minutes into the fun I told my partner to stop because it felt like it was prickly. She stopped and took the toy out of the harness and replaced it with another toy. I was not about to let a prickly toy side track us from having fun.

Afterward I sluggishly picked up the Champlette from the bedroom floor and took it to the bathroom to be inspected closer. In the bright light of the bathroom I could barely see the prickly things on the toy, but when I ran my hand up and down the toy I could easily feel them. It is made from silicone so clean up was easy. I could have just rinsed it and tossed it in the dish washer or put it in a pan and boiled it for three minutes to completely sanitize it but I wanted to inspect it so I washed it by hand.

We used a water based lube and the same toy cleaner that I use on all my other silicone toys was used to clean it before the first use so I came to the conclusion that it was a manufacturing defect. I feel the defect could be easily remedied by using a condom. I have not got the chance to try out the idea yet but I will post a follow-up review as soon as I do.

If you've invested in a decent quality silicone dildo, I wouldn't cover up any manufacturing defects with a condom.  Call the manufacturer--many toys these days have warranties, and even if they don't, I've usually found reputable companies to be more than helpful in taking care of these matters.  Sorry you had a bad experience. :(

Definitely- Vixen is a good company, and I'm sure they would replace this one!

Though, if you have the silver one, I know what you're talking about- I have another silver dildo from Vixen and there is an unusual texture to them...
