Purr - dildo by Tantus - review by Yoda

Use the Purr to reach whichever spot you're aching to hit. It's long enough, wide enough, and textured enough to stimulate you toward ultimate contentment. It can be thrusted fast or slow, and combined with whatever mishmash of twisting and prying actions you wish. It has a small but perfectly adequate flared base, making it ideal for use in a harness, as well as for some intense anal stimulation.

Purr is made of Tantus' 100% premium silicone, and it is premium in every sense of the word. It has virtually no odor at all and it certainly has no taste. In no way similar to the many jelly toys available on the market today, this dildo is dense. Firmer than jelly, this silicone is also quite flexible; it will bend amply, but it won't flop around. To the touch the material is smooth and it is molded with a ribbed texture. In good light, it even glistens a little.

I love the design. The slight curve helps with deep penetration, and will place added pressure on spots G or P. Also, the head is bulbous and only slightly wider than the shaft. There are no ripples on the head, which ensures that initial insertion is smooth and easy. After about an inch or so of length, the ripples begin, and the shaft tapers inward slightly. This transition feels fantastic, and ensuing thrusts feel smooth yet full of sensation.

Purr's ribbed texture is one of its best features. It reminds me of the inner ripples of a cardboard box. Keep in mind that, while the toy itself bends with use, the ripples will retain their firmness and will feel quite rigid. Don't let this intimidate you, though. It feels great. Using this dildo with the slightest amount of gusto will make your teeth rattle.

Using Purr with a harness would be an excellent notion. It has a flared base that will sit perfectly behind most o-rings, and won't budge while in use. With the tip pointed up, the natural movement of the hips will make contact with the g-spot a virtual given. It works similarly with the prostate, although the thrusting action would be slightly different. Wield it in your hands or on your crotch, using Purr expertly is simple.

The only downside to this toy is the vibrating bullet. Although it feels really nice in the right places, it's not particularly powerful. It also guzzles down battery power like it was cheap, dirty malt liquor. Still, a weak vibrator is better than no vibrator.

As with Tantus' other silicone toys, Purr is non-porous and can be easily sanitized in the dishwasher, with a diluted bleach solution, or with soap, warm water, and elbow grease. I would advise storing it in place free of dirt, dust, and other particles which will easily stick. It is most compatible with water-based lube, and not-at-all so with silicone. With good judgment and minimal care, this toy will last forever.
