Compact - strap-on dildo by Tantus - review by Robin Goodfellow

This toy works great in a strap-on, as well as just toying around with either vaginally or anally. This toy would be great for beginners, but I'm no beginner and I still think it's great. In the strap-on I've found it to be good way to warm up for bigger challenges, and the perfect toy for relaxed romantic evenings of extended play. A mellow toy in general makes it versatile for anyone or anything; couples or solo.

Comprised of silicone it hardly has a smell or taste and is safe for the body. The combination of the Compacts smooth exterior and pliable body makes it feel like silk running through you. It's fantastic. Because it is so soft and silky you can really grip down on it and enjoy the ride of the ripples; which is one of the most unique traits I've experienced with this toy. Though because it is pretty soft it can sometimes make the entry a little ungraceful.

Overall I found the shape to be dainty, and nothing that appeared to be mind blowing. But after experiencing it, I believe there was more attention paid to it's design than I first gave it credit for. It's appearance is more of a cozy toy than a realistic replica of anything.. I hope. It's a slightly curved phallic shape and equipped with a series of ripples running down the upper side of the shaft. The size is small but enjoyable and I would expect the average user to agree. It's quite discreet as far as dildos come and could easily be packed to travel.

The best thing about this toy, especially in a strap-on application is that it can allow the receiver to play a more active role, beckoning for more and an increased tempo. Rather than simply focusing on survival. Though because it is quite short in length it limits the variety of positions when using it in a strap-on.

Use your favorite silicone friendly lube. It's a very easy toy to clean. I hand wash it with a few drops of natural anti-bacterial dish soap. Or you can boil it for 3-5 minutes. Then stow it away in my "tool" box, though she calls it my "toy" box.

Like all the Tantus products I've bought, it's packaged in a nice plastic box molded to fit this toy specifically.

Note to future buyers: I was excited to use the Compact the day it arrived but was disappointed to discover it requires a smaller O-ring than my other dildos. So I had to make a trip to the hardware store the next day. To avoid this prepare yourself in advance. I bought a 1/4" stainless steel ring with an interior diameter of 1 & 3/4" from the hardware store and it works great. (Though this is the smallest ring my harness can possibly accommodate, so it would be wise to take measurements of your harness before ring shopping.)

My girlfriend found it enjoyable vaginally but with no crescendo. She felt that it was too soft to really stimulate her g-spot. I on the other hand found that very quality to feel nice on my prostate. The softness of the ridges provided a more subtle coaxing feel on the prostate which I find much more stimulating than the brute force of some unforgiving object being rammed in me. So I give it two thumbs up. Overall we both agreed that the enjoyment of clenching down on the ripples of the Compact during thrusts provides a pleasurable and unique sensation that could be enjoyed by almost all, thus we deem this toy a worthy one.
