Form over function: RodeoH can Buck Off

I had pretty high hopes for the RodeoH, and while it did serve as a more vanilla option for my less-kinky partner, we ultimately came to prefer other harnesses.

I originally got the rodeo h because my partner was still pretty lukewarm about the idea of pegging, and the spareparts joque I had bought her seemed like it might be a bit intimidating/fetishy for her tastes. We've since used both harnesses a few times, and while the rodeo h was a cute concept, functionally the joque is just more user friendly, and the rodeo h has sort of moved out of the rotation.

A few things to note: the fit is important here. We found the rodeo h to be a little tight on her, which was a setback just in terms of comfort, but the position of the dildo was also not super for her. She wears about a size 8 (29-30 inch waist) and the fit was a bit tight in the legs and loose in the crotch. While she's capable of thrusting with the rodeo h, it isn't positioned perfectly for clitoral stimulation, and she had to thrust on a less natural angle than with some other harnesses. The fabric also didn't seem to hold the dildo in place very well, so when she moved, sometimes the dildo did not come with her. She ended up having to use her hand to sort of hold the dildo against her so that it would move along with her hips, which more or less defeats the purpose of the harness entirely. Above all, the harness is obviously not adjustable, which is a big drawback in and of itself.

As a full-coverage harness, the rodeoh also requires more regular and thorough cleaning that some other styles of harnesses. If you've got access to a washing machine this may not be an issue, but for city dwellers, it can be a bit annoying. The look of the harness is actually very cute if you're into that sort of boy-ish panty look (which, as a consumer of strapon gear, I am), but once again the fit can make a big difference between cute and ill-fitting.

For someone who might be a little trepidatious about pegging, or kink in general, this is a good beginner option. However, the position of the dildo and the lack of adjustability might take some of the fun out of the endeavor, and confirm the suspicions of a skeptic. I personally happen to enjoy the bondage look of other harnesses, but if you're into "gentle femdom" this might help break from the stereotype that pegging necessarily involves the stereotypical leather-clad dominatrix.
