Jaguar G - g-string harness by ASLAN Leather - review by Owl Identified

When I saw that the ASLAN Jaguar G was available for review, I was rather intrigued. I have owned the dual strap version of the Jaguar for a few years now and to date it probably remains my favorite harness of all time (and I own a few great harnesses!) The G-strap version was interesting to me because it seemed like the only possible way to improve, or at least spice up, an already perfect harness. I had to try it.

The verdict is? This harness actually does - in my humble, fallible human opinion - actually perfect an already perfect harness. To be brutally honest, I've had my concerns about the stability and comfort of a singular, leather strap squished between my butt cheeks. However, I should have known that the soft, supple finished leather that my dual strap Jaguar sent me over the moon for would lend itself quite comfortably to a G-strap design. Furthermore, I found that single strap design of the G is remarkably stable, and even gives my dual strap a run for its money! The only thing my dual strap has over this guy is that you can be penetrated vaginally or anally during wear, while the G-strap obviously inhibits that kind of play during wear. However, on the plus side, I have found that the strap (if pulled taut) can help keep dildos or butt plugs inside of my while I am wearing it. Perhaps in the end it all events out then, hm?

The ASLAN Jaguar G is a sturdy but light weight leather harness that is designed to fit a diversity of body sizes and shapes. The waist band should comfortable fit up to a 42" waist, so it will fit some of the fuller figures out there though not all. For more size options at the upper end of the plus sized range, the Sedeux Divine Diva harness is an excellent (and vegan!) alternative with a waistband that fits up to 82". The Jaguar G's single strap is also quite adjustable and can suit slim, athletic butts to curvy, voluptuous booties, and the sliding double-D ring adjustment is as easy to use as a bra strap! One potential aesthetic issue for more petite folks is the slack leftover on the straps after adjustment. If you find there's a lot of extra, a sharp pair of butcher scissors or garden sheers can be used to cleanly trim the straps to a more suitable length. Should you choose to do this, it's always a good idea to leave a few inches room for the normal fluctuations in body weight that most of us experience.

Fitted with sturdy rivets, the G can handle quite a bit of tugging and pulling with virtually no risk of anything coming loose. The hardware on this piece seems to be nickle, and fluids from sex, cleaning or even water based lubes can cause rusting on this metal rapidly. I had this problem with my dual strap Jaguar, so I took care to coat the rivets on this with clear nail polish before using it. Clear nail polish can and will provide a decent barrier between your metal and fluid, but take care to reapply it routinely as it chips off during use rather easily. In addition to sturdy riveting, the leather is stitched impeccably with not a single flaw - nor have I ever encountered a flaw on any of my many ASLAN leather items. ASLAN manufacturers actually double stitch in vulnerable or less stable areas such as point of the V where the front panel meets the single G-strap. As with the rivets and D-rings, you can tug and pull and toss around in bed without any worry about the integrity of your harness. However, if for any reason something should go wrong with your harness, ASLAN guarantees all of their leather products for life. Your ASLAN Jaguar G can be replaced with a new one simply by sending the defective product to them via mail.

Unlike cut-hole harnesses, the Jaguar G comes with a rubber O-ring that can be changed out for smaller or larger O-rings. Three short straps are riveted to the front panel in a triangular alignment, and they can be snapped easily into the O-ring which rests freely off of the leather panel. This design is especially comfortable as the base of the dildo or prosthetic inserted into this harness will not rub against the pelvis and irritate or chafe the skin. In my experience, I've also found this design to be quite sturdy and stable for some reason; dildos just seem to wiggle around less when they are mounted in this way. The included O-ring is 2" in diameter and will fit many dildos with bases.
