Goliath - My Purple Frenemy
I think that this is still a great toy for someone who is more comfortable with large size and firmness than I am. There are some size queens who would probably think he is too small. But I think if you like firm toys and decent size, he could be your dream man (or toy). Goliath is a beautiful toy made with quality materials by a company with a great reputation. Goliath is a big, bad boy for those who want something some more - as in more girth, length, texture, and firmness. When I first took Goliath out of his package, my first thought was YOWZA! What a big boy! And I wondered if my eyes hadn't been bigger than my vagina when I decided to purchase him. Unfortunately, this turned out to be somewhat true. Goliath is my purple bitch and my friend. A real frenemy. Sometimes he hurts so good, and sometimes he just hurts.
Now, he's not humongous or anything. Goliath has a reasonable size of 7 and 1/4 inches in length and a girth of 1 3/4 inches in diameter. But be forewarned, he is extremely firm. There is almost no give at all to this sex toy. Maybe, if I put some elbow grease behind it, I might be able to bend him slightly. The one that I have is a gorgeous opalescent purple color.
It is semi-realistic in that it looks like a real penis to a limited extent, but it has an unusually enlarged head over a smaller shaft. The head features a very pronounced ridge. The shaft is textured with veins that add to the realism. I didn't notice them very much during use. I think Carrie Ann pointed out that the head looks a little pitted, as she put, like an orange peel. I have to agree. Mine is like that also.
One of the major reasons I chose this toy was the fact that it was made with 100% medical grade platinum silicone. This toy has no pores that can trap bacteria, no phthalates, and no latex. Goliath is completely hypoallergenic and can be sterilized in bleach, in a dishwasher, or boiled. He is really a breeze to clean. I just wash him down in soap and water. Because he is so hygienic, he can be shared with a partner(s). I would still recommend using a condom unless you are fluid bonded with a partner (play safe and prevent STDs). Because he silicone, I would also recommend using only water-based lubricants with this toy. Silicone lube can ruin a silicone toy. The silicone used in this product is very velvety and soft.
This toy has a flared based that features a hole for the small included bullet vibe. The vibe is fairly weak, but the vibrations travel well throughout the toy. This toy can also be strapped on, if you're into that kind of thing. The flared base should make this toy safe for anal adventures, but there's no way this thing would go in my ass lol. I can barely get him in my vagina.

Personally, the major problem I had with this toy was the unique combination of his large size and inflexibility. I found him rather painful, at times. When I fist tried him out, I could barely insert him at all. And I'm not a virgin or inexperienced with toys. I used a ton of lube and got almost nowhere with him. Plus, the large size of the head and the pronounced ridge really HURT with initial insertion - like he was scraping the roof of my vagina. Of course, this may just be a weird feature of my anatomy.
Frankly, I was pretty disappointed. I put him away for awhile and thought about returning him. But I stuck with him, and I found that if I used other dildo first and loosened myself up, I could use him. However, initial insertion is still painful. I have to insert the toy gently into the entrance of my vagina and press down on my lower vaginal wall to avoid that painful scraping sensation. Once he is inside, he feels better, though the head still hurts a little even when he is fully inserted. Usually, I use him in combination with my favorite clit stimulator, a bullet vibe.
I have found if I am very aroused that he can feel awesome. Goliath provides a lovely feeling of fullness and a pressure sensation on my cervix that is divine. That's why I have to say he is my purple frenemy. Truthfully, I don't pull him out very often. But on occasion, I get in the mood for him.

Well, it's been a lot longer than two months since I purchased Goliath: I have actually had it for almost three years now. And unfortunately, it still remains a frenemy - a real purple bitch. I have gone through times when I used it quite a bit, but now I seldom pull it out. It is just too uncomfortable for me. For someone else, it might be great. Goliath has held up exceptionally well. In fact, he will probably outlive me. He has no signs of deterioration at all. I still think Tantus is a great company, and I would like to try some of their other products.

Guessing what size you like

When trying to figure out what size dildo you wanted, were you right the first guess? Or did it take trial and error to find something the right size?

I over estimated the first time. Then ordered again. Got it right the second time. And now the first one is not too big anymore.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I really do have mixed feelings about this toy. I actually went through a period of time when I used him more often, and I grew more accustomed to his inflexibility. But really, he can be hard to take sometimes. Of course, I might just be smaller than some people. I've never given birth.
Tuesday, as for the pits, I really didn't noticed them. I was mainly focused on his over sized head scraping the hell out of g-spot.Lol.
Plus I think it can be harder for older women like us to handle hard toys that have texture.

I agree that softer material would probably be more comfortable. And as for texture being too much for someone my age, that might be true. I think I can handle texture as long as it's not too big or hard at the same time.
Hmmm. I'm kinda torn about this dildo. On the one hand I am a bit of a size queen so it looks like it would be fabulous. On the other hand, he doesn't have any give as you pointed out. Might still give him a try, though.

I kind of think that if you're are going for size, it needs to have some give. At least that's true for me. I have been able to handle toys as big as Goliath that were softer.
