Good For Beginners But That's About It

The Theta is a good choice for a beginner, but for most people it would be too thin to provide any stimulation. This dildo is very flexible, so it’s not going to do a whole lot for someone. It comes with a bullet that provides only minimal vibration.

Use

The Theta is from Tantus’s Elements line. This is a dildo that is best suited for beginners as it has a slim shaft, and it is flexible enough to not cause any pain. You can use it to find and stimulate the G-spot, but it won’t provide a lot of firm pressure. You can also use this anally, as long as you don’t mind that it gets wider towards the base. It comes with a bullet that has minimal vibrations. The bullet has a small O-ring, around the battery compartment, but it appears to be only splash proof.

Material / Texture

The Theta is entirely made of body safe silicone which contains no phthalates or harmful substances. There is a pronounced head, but no added texture. There are some raised lines on the base, but they are there to help grip the toy. The material has some drag, so use only water based lubricants with it. There was no strange odors when I received this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The head of the Theta is like a tulip that hasn’t bloomed yet. You can definitely feel a popping sensation when the head is moved in and out of you. The shaft is curved slightly, and gradually gets wider towards the base.

As for the specs, the Theta is 5 ¾” long with 5 ¼” of insertable length. The head has a circumference of 3 ¼”, the neck is 2”, and the shaft widens to 4” in circumference.

Performance

I love the pronounced head of this toy, but unfortunately it was too flexible to give me enough stimulation. I also used it anally, but didn’t appreciate the gradual increase in size. It could be just my lack of experience, but it didn’t feel right to me. The head is very flexible, and I found that made insertion very difficult. But don’t let me discourage you. This is a good quality dildo, so if you like slimmer toys, this would be a good choice.

The Theta is able to stand on its base when no bullet is inserted. The base is a triangular shape with nicely rounded corners. There is a little cavity on the bottom of the toy for the bullet to be placed in. Use a drop of lube to make sure you can pull it out when you are done using it. The bullet is 2 3/8” long with a circumference of 2 ¼”, so any bullet of that size can comfortably fit inside the Theta. The bullet runs on three watch batteries, which are included. It only has one vibration speed. The vibrations are extremely buzzy which makes me feel very itchy, so I don’t even use it.

Care and Maintenance

To clean the Theta, just rinse it with warm water and soap or toy cleaner. Since it is non-porous, you can sterilize it with a 10 per cent bleech solution, or by boiling it for a few minutes. You can also run it through the dish washer with no soap.

This toy will attract some lint and dust, so it is a good idea to wash it before and after each use. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a storage pouch, so you’ll have to find a way to store it away from other silicone toys and pet hair.

Packaging

The Theta comes in typical Tantus packaging which clearly shows off the toy. I don’t recommend using the box for storage because it is rather bulky and difficult to open and close. The bullet sits off to the side. It has a plastic disk inside it to prevent the bullet from accidentally turning on during shipment.

Personal comments

Inside the battery compartment of the bullet is a little slip of paper. Leave the paper in because I found that when I took it out, the bullet would constantly vibrate when the batteries were in it. I originally wanted to take the paper out because the batteries are difficult to get in an out.

I've noticed the issue with the paper in the battery compartment of Tantus bullets as well. The paper makes it difficult to change the batteries, but without it the vibrator makes more noise. I agree that sometimes anal toys that don't have a "neck" section aren't quite as comfortable.

Good review. I find anal toys that are really flexible to be just too darn difficult to insert. Looks like I won't be going for this toy any time soon. Thanks!
