Jellyfish - dildo by Whipspider rubberworks - review by Waterfall

The Jellyfish is a highly textured, silicone dildo, that like the name suggests is designed to look like a colorful jellyfish. Even though the size is not a lot larger than average, the intense texture and ridged head may make this one a little much for most beginners. It works well at providing different sensations during vaginal use and has a base that makes it safe for anal use, for those who enjoy a lot of texture in this area.

The Jellyfish is made from high quality silicone. That makes it free from harmful chemicals and safe to use by everyone. The only smell that I noticed when I took it out of the bag most likely came from the card that gives a little information about silicone and the company. There is also no taste, as is to be expected from a silicone toy. I like that this silicone has a nice amount of give to it while at the same time being pretty firm.
Each one of the toys from Whipspider Rubberworks is hand made and the coloring is very pretty. It has a bit of white, pink, blue and a teal color that creates one of my prettiest silicone toys, even though it is supposed to be a jellyfish. The white parts of the toy even glow in the dark after they have been exposed to light for some time.

What makes this dildo stand out from others in my collection is the great amount of texture. Every part of this one has some type of texture. The top of the head has a flower shape that can be felt with you hands, while the surface of the head has little ridges and indentations that look like the top of a jellyfish would. All of this texture can be felt during use and creates a nice sensation when the toy is slowly twisted. The body of the toy is covered in squiggly jellyfish-like tentacles. This part of the toy is VERY textured and can be uncomfortable with fast thrusting. I make it a point to use very shallow and slow thrusting when I use it. Anyone who isn't a big fan of texture will probably want to stay away from this one.

The Jellyfish is designed to look like a jellyfish instead of an average penis. I like this fun shape because it stands out in my collection and can be left out without it immediately making people suspicious of what it is. I think it will be ok for travel, especially if you are on your way to or returning from a warm location with lots of sea life!

This toy is pretty easy to take care of, as is the case with silicone toys. It can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. It can also be sterilized by boiling for 3-4 minutes. Cleaning a toy with this much texture can take a little bit longer than usual. It is important to make sure that fluids are cleaned out of all of the little crevices after each use. I also find that it takes longer to dry this one because water also stays in the crevices.

This toy should only be used with water based lubes because silicone will cause the material to break down.

I really liked the packaging for this toy because it is so simple. It comes in a nice sized ziploc type plastic bag. This can be used for storage, unless you need to have pretty bags for all of your toys. It is clear, so you can see the toy right through it. This could be a problem in regards to being discreet, but most people will not know right away that this jellyfish-shaped piece of silicone is a sex toy. If you are giving it as a gift, you may want to put the toy in something more "gift like".

Even though I do not use this one a lot, I still think that it works great at the intended purpose to satisfy those of us who like a lot of texture. If I factored how often I use it into my rating, then it would get a 3. However, because I am basing it on how well it performs I give it a 4.

Even though it took me a little while to get warmed up enough for this one and a few minutes to get used to the sensations it provides I have had good experiences with it. I do not need to do a lot of fast and hard thrusting to get off and I have been able to orgasm each time I used this toy which is always a plus.
