Harnesses are one of those things where you love it, you hate it, or you're indifferent about it. I was really excited to see the Sasha Grey harness when it appeared on Eden and it was actually brought to my attention by my former mentor, Kindred. I jumped on the chance to review it.

Unfortunately, due to just life happening and all of that jazz, I've only just now been able to review it. You can find the most flattering of reviews here. I don't plan to go into nearly as much detail as those reviews have, so I'm referencing them so you'll have more than one opinion to go on when you choose to make your purchase.

I ordered an extra small. I probably should have ordered a small, but my biggest fear is that the harness will be loose and sloppy against me making thrusting and all of that jazz a little more than difficult. I, for some unknown reason, had the impression the band would stretch sort of the way the elastic does on the RodeOh.

The very first thing I noticed about the harness when I pulled it out of its exquisite packaging was how the garment is pieced together individually instead of a seamless garment, you can see all of the stitching needed to construct the harness. I found this to be indicative of mass production and it took away from the quality, in my personal opinion. This may not bother anyone else, but I'm really weird about those kinds of things.

The second thing I did was try to insert one of my largest dildos into the o-ring; that would be Vixen Creations Buck. No go. Okay, that's fine. I didn't really expect it to, I mean it is a little over 2" in diameter, but I found there was little give or stretch in the o-ring and that was off-putting because it's not interchangeable. Again, fine if you stick to the thinner dildos. It just happens to be my personal preference that I like to use thicker toys when we play.

The third thing I had an issue with were the garter clips. I'm not very dexterous when it comes to certain motions with my wrists, I largely blame it on typing but there are just certain movements I cannot make with my wrists...so getting the garters in place was difficult and when I wanted to remove them, I couldn't. So, I ended up cutting one of them off out of frustration.

I weigh approximately 100 pounds, stand about 5'1, and have a 27" waist if I don't suck it in and I could have used just a wee bit of stretch here. Like Beck, I had a muffin top and I didn't find it to be flattering for my figure. The ruching in the back is sexy, but I found that due to my size choice I should have really ordered a small.

Don't get me wrong, this is a gorgeous harness and it definitely serves its purpose. My mistake was not realizing there was little stretch in the waistband. There's some, just not a lot. I also probably should have purchased the black one instead. Hey, but we live and learn right and that's why we have the review program!

HOW TO SELECT THE CORRECT SIZE:
You need to consider both lower waist/hip measurement and actual body shape. Proper measurement is absolutely crucial with our underwear harnesses, since the right fit depends on how your body fills out the harness.

STEP: A
1. Lower waist/hip measurement.
a. Wrap a measuring tape around lower waist, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the pelvic/hip bone. If you are wearing a belt or baggy pants, shimmy pants down a little, so you get a true reading.
b. Take down the number where the tape measure crosses over itself.
c. Check the size info below and note the corresponding size.

SIZE CHART: (IN INCHES)

XS = 26-28 XL = 41-44
S = 29-32 2X = 45-48
M = 33-37 3X = 49-52
L = 38-40 XXS, 4X & 5X COMING SOON

STEP: B
2. VERY IMPORTANT: Determine body shape -using moon phase analogy. Looking at your body form and thinking of the moon shapes, determine what type of body form/shape (mainly your, buttocks and stomach regions) you have. This is very important: the products won’t fit properly if your body doesn’t fill out the harness (from front to rear). Also if this step isn’t considered you might get a product that is too tight or snug, as going by the guide below it might have instructed that you go up, or down a size due to body form/shape.

· Full Moon: +1 size -Go a size up from the size chart.
If you were to view this body shape from the side, you would see a half-moon shape in rear, and a quarter to half-moon shape in front, where the stomach is.

· Three-Quarter Moon: +1 size -Go a size up from the size chart.
· If you were to view this body shape from the side, you would see a quarter-moon shape in front and a half-moon shape in rear, or just the opposite quarter moon shape in rear, and half moon shape in front (stomach area).

· Half-Moon: Stick to the size chart.
If you were to view this body shape from the side, you would see a half-moon shape in rear, and a flat front stomach area.

· Quarter/Crescent Moon: -1 size - Go a size down OR stick to the size chart.
This body shape has gentler less pronounced curve in rear. If you were to view it from the side, you would see a quarter (or crescent) shape sloping from the tailbone to the top of the thigh. This body shape should choose the next size down UNLESS there is also a quarter to full-moon curve in front, at the stomach. In that case, stay to the size chart.
