Jaguar - double strap harness by ASLAN Leather - review by That Man from Mars

I'm the kind of person who doesn't like things surprising me by going up my butt during sex. For this reason I can be pretty picky about my harnesses, and I spent a good while searching for something to accommodate my and my lover's tastes. We came across the unique design of the Jaguar Double Strap Harness at a local sex shop quite some time ago, and I was impressed. There it hung on the wall with a number of other harnesses, staring at me with its shiny metal rivets set into the softest leather you'll ever feel. I bought it, took it home, and after some brief cleaning (given that it had come without a package) tried it on.

The first thing I noticed was how well this little guy fit. I'm pretty thin, and the adjustability is astounding. Buckles on each side are easily and comfortably adjusted, and can be maneuvered via sliding along the waist strap/belt to pretty much mold to whatever body shape you have. Unlike a lot of harnesses that are confounding and time consuming to get on, I had this sucker ready to go in about 30 seconds or so. The entire piece is extraordinarily designed with comfort as a key element. At no time during the many uses of this favorite harness have I experienced rubbing or chaffing. Never has it slid around or wound up threatening the virginity of my ass crack. Even during extended and strenuous use (oh the joys of being soaked in sweat) it has held strong and felt great.

The leather is very, very high quality - I'm a leather fetishist and I know what is and isn't good leather. This stuff really blew me away. It is soft, supple, strong and durable. The stitching is professional and unnoticeable and has never frayed. The leather has not cracked, nor been wrecked by various cleaning products (soap, leather cleaner). It is very flexible, yet sturdy, and molds well to the body. Another thing I really love is that it warms up easily.

Small, smooth metal rivets adorn the straps in decor as well as assistance in holding it together. There are metal buckles on each hip, and they are modest and completely unnoticeable during use. Whatever they are, it's not stainless steel, so be sure to dry the harness well as they will rust. Mine have rusted a bit, but not much...but I have put this sucker through everything including fully submerging it in water for extended periods of time many times over.

Three snaps hold a rubber O ring in place, which is easy to remove/replace and can be swapped out with most any size. The dildo hole is situated low, which I love. This allows for genital stimulation during use and a more natural positioning, though if you already have a penis this isn't for you as there isn't anywhere for it to go.

This is hands down the best harness I have ever come across. As stated, I'm a leather fetishist, and this is the best piece of leather anything that I own. You will not find higher quality leather.

The design is just flawless. It's so comfortable and forms so well to the body that I tend to forget I'm wearing it, which is a huge bonus if you're seeking out a harness that would feel like a second skin. The only bulky aspect is the straps on the side, but I've actually worn this under clothing with no real noticeable bulging. Tight pants of course would be another matter, but I prefer them relatively loose.

Since the metal rivets do have a chance of rusting, that's the only downfall I see. Proper care can easily keep this from happening.

The O ring is a sturdy, but somewhat flexible rubber, and can be changed out. I use it with the Vixen Creations 'Leo' dildo and it fits fantastically (at about 1 and 3/4 inches) Please note, although the o-ring is interchangeable, the 'setting' for the o-ring is very static. I have not tried a larger or smaller ring (yet), so I can't say whether certain sizes might fit.

I have a very hard time finding harnesses that fit. I have narrow hips (about a 30) and wear this on the second to last buckle in. It fits up to a 42", but you could easily make more buckle holes if needed and the straps are quite long. The fact that they can slide along the waist to sit anywhere allows for even more comfort. This little guy will literally just mold to your body.

I have never had an issue with performance. The mold to the body means that it won't shift during sex. One problem I've had in the past with other harnesses is that the dildo tends to 'pop' against my crotch during each thrust (caused by the suction when pulling back/out), but this hasn't done that. It keeps exactly where I put it and there's no adjustment whatsoever during the entire act. The metal parts (buckles, for example) are comfortably positioned, and I've never even noticed them when worn.

A funny way I like to test a harness and its fit is by wearing it with the dildo in, grabbing the dildo, and giving it a pull in various directions. Not only does this amuse my lover, but it shows me what positions and angles might be best avoided. With this, there are simply none to avoid.

Care is fairly easy, for the most part. I wash mine in a mild detergent and then dry it thoroughly. Leather treatment now and then will help to keep it soft and supple and from cracking, though admittedly I've been pretty lax with this harness and still have not had a single problem with the condition.

Again, the metal can rust (as metal likes to do) so try and keep it clean and dry.

I didn't get mine from Eden, and I have no idea if it comes in a package when shipped. I bought it off a wall where it was hung with other harnesses. There was a manufacture tag with some minor treatment directions on the back.

This is by far my favorite harness and currently the only one I use regularly. I highly suggest it for anyone, especially transmen or to those who simply want to feel as if it is a natural part of the body. That is extremely important to me as a man, and this harness has never failed to provide.
