Lovely starter toy
This was a fabulous beginner toy, for newcomers to vaginal or anal play. The bullet could be used in the toy, or for added clit stimulation. The silicone makes it lovely for those with latex sensitivities, but requires using water based lube.Published: May 23, 2009
Pros:
Smooth, comfortably designed for beginners, easy to clean.
Cons:
For vaginal play may not be girthy enough for some, bullet hard to remove without being pre-lubed.
The Mistress was my first dildo. I had been using vibrators for a while but had relied on them for clitoral orgasms and was looking for something to use as a toy, to break myself in for my larger boyfriend.
As someone who was relatively new to vaginal penetration, I wanted something big enough but not too overwhelming. This one did the job well, and it is pretty to boot. The bullet aspect of it helped serve as a good transition from vibes to dildos. Given that more dildos come in silicone than vibrators do, I'd choose Mistress over other non silicone options, even if the bullet vibe didn't quite work out the way I hoped it would.
I'm a huge fan of Vixen's designs. Mistress was long and wide enough to produce a full sensation, until I worked me way up to a wider toy, and it hit my g-spot quite nicely. Since I'm not using the base for a harness, I think the base is flared enough to provide a handhold.
I found, after a while, that I preferred to use the toy without the bullet. The bullet was relatively quiet; if used inserted in the Mistress, it wasn't too loud as the silicone seemed to dampen some of the sound. I found, however, that regardless of how deep I inserted the bullet into the dildo (and water based lube was essential or removal was difficult), the bullet wasn't vibrating against the right spot (and it was making my hand feel numb during use) and was much better served for clit action while I used the Mistress in me. I could see using this toy as a beginner device for anal if I decide to explore that route.
I'm sensitive to latex, and have become somewhat of a silicone groupie as a result. Mistress was easy to clean, both with toy cleaner or doing a quick boil. Despite the fact that I've moved on to some bigger dildos, Mistress is still in my regular rotation. I'd definitely recommend it to someone new to toys, and the potential to use it as a beginner toy for anal makes it a keeper even after adding other toys to my collection.

Thank you for viewing Mistress vibe kit – dildo review page!

Nice review. Vixen designs products are definitely delicious. I'm also a skeptic of bullet vibes buried in the base of anything. To each their own, of course, but I agree that bullet vibes work better applied directly to the clit.
Thanks for the review.
Welcome to EF, thanks for your first review! We also agree that vibrations in the bottom of toys don't make much sense.
Welcome and thanks for the review...I don't know what some companies are thinking when they put hte vibrations at the wrong place..
I just tried my first Tantus toy not too long ago and it has insertable bullet vibe, too. I wasn't super impressed and, like you, had trouble inserting and removing it. Also, since you did mention that as a con, I would touch on it more in the review itself.
How firm is the silicone of this toy?
Thanks for the review!
