Loving Luke to the Max..

Average in length, realistic looking and generously girthy, the little brother of the Max makes up for what it lacks in length with what it has to offer girth lovers. This may just be my perfect realistic dildo.

Packaging:

The packaging of the Luke is Tantus’ usual style of packaging, a clear plastic box which is free of any sexual imagery. On the back and sides of the packaging you will find plenty of information about the silicone used in Tantus toys. He arrived in what I know as the slightly larger size of Tantus box, fitting nicely in it with no excess packaging. As the clear plastic box is so transparent it gives the advantage of being able to see the toy from every angle while it still sits in it packaging.

First Impression:

The Luke is made in three colour options (cream, cocoa and black) and having only recently chosen the cocoa colouring for my Tantus Max dildo, I decided this time to opt for the cream. In person the colouring is a pretty good match for the product page photos, a particularly pale flesh tone.

The Tantus Luke is fairly average in size (in length rather than girth) and realistic looking, but it is not just realistic in its appearance as the 02 material of the Luke makes for a more realistic feeling toy too. There is a softness or squishiness to the head of the dildo which gives it a realistic feel. While this is not my first 02 toy I must admit I still spent a long time just playing with Lukes squishy head once I had him out of his packaging. The core of the dildo is quite firm and the outer layer of the shaft is soft and squishy like the head. The base of the toy (the half-testicles) are very firm and flat underneath meaning they work well at keeping the Luke stood upright. The head of the dildo is realistically pronounced. Unlike the similar Tantus Max dildo, the Luke seems to flare oh so slightly as you get further down the shaft. The head of the toy has a smooth shiny finish while the shaft has a matt appearance.

Measurements:

Total Length: 7 Inches

Insertable Length: 5 ¾ Inches

Circumference: 6 1/4 Inches

In Use:

The smooth shiny head of the Luke works well with lube which helps for easy insertion. From my experience a warm up toy is definitely worth considering before trying the Luke and a more generous amount of lube than usual is recommended as once you are past the shiny head, the shaft of the Luke is quite thick and can be unforgiving with its dry feeling matte finish. Once adequately warmed up and lubricated though, Luke is an experience to relish. While the realistically shaped head doesn’t at first seem like it would be too stimulating, once inserted the ridge of the head can clearly be felt with every thrust. Thanks to the 02 material of the Luke (a layer of softer silicone material on the outside of the toy) this stimulation from the ridge creates added texture without being uncomfortable in use.

The squishiness of the head also means that the length of the Luke won’t end up feeling like it is bruising you during particularly long sessions with it. Unlike other Tantus toys like the Vamp dildo, the feeling of stretch upon insertion keeps coming until Luke is fully inserted and then continues as the girth of the Luke increases oh so slightly as you get further down the shaft. The fact that the Luke only has an insertable length of 5 ¾ inches means that it is still comfortable for me despite its girth. The light veining along the Lukes shaft helps give it some extra texture.

Another difference I noticed between this and the similarly sized Tantus Vamp is that while the Vamp can leave you feeling almost bruised after a particularly rough session, the softness of Lukes squishy head (thanks to the 02 split firmness) means that you can play for longer without feeling uncomfortable or feeling like you may need a couple days off from play after an extended self-loving session. The shorter length helps with this too. For me the length of 5 ¾ is enough to satisfy especially when mixed with the generous girth and ridged head of the Luke.
Experience

Another Tantus toy that the Luke is obviously comparable to is the Tantus Max which is basically described by Tantus as being the Luke with an extra inch of insertable length. Having recently also invested in the Max and having had a few sessions where I play with both toys one after the other I noticed that there is not just the difference of that extra inch of length that the Max has. The Luke actually feels noticeably thicker than the Max in use and when compared side by side this difference can be seen too. Measuring them both, it turns out that the Luke is a quarter of an inch thicker than the Max when you measure half way down the shaft and is half an inch thicker than the Max when you measure lower down the shaft.

Having bought both these toys at around the same time I had thought I might be wasting money by buying two such similar toys but with different measurements in both length and girth I can say that a noticeable difference can really be felt between the two. The Max has much more of a uniform girth throughout its shaft whereas the Luke instead thickens towards the base of the shaft. If 5 ¾ inches of length doesn’t sound like enough for you I would highly recommend the Tantus Max instead.

In use, the big base of the toy can be awkward to hold but the base is thicker/raised enough from the shaft to help with griping and of course this type of base does allow for the dildo to be used as a strap-on toy. Like its bigger brother the Tantus Max, the Luke is O-ring harness compatible and perfect for those like myself who enjoy gender play. When placed in a harness, Luke is an impressive and realistic sight to behold.

Care:

Made of high-quality Silicone, the Tantus Luke is both Latex and Phthalates free, silicone is completely non-porous meaning that it can be fully disinfected by boiling it for 3 minutes or by throwing it into the top rack of your dishwasher or it can be simply washed after use with warm soapy water or specialized toy cleaner, it is generally believed that silicone based lubricants should not be used with silicone toys. I would recommend using a generous amount of water-based lubricant with the Luke.
