My First Dildo

When I bought it, I thought I'd use it a few times a month, but now I bring it out every session. Addicting. Opened a whole world of pleasure I didn't expect to find. I'm only giving it four stars because I sometimes wish it had more girth.

Use

I've only used this toy vaginally, so I can't speak for it as an anal toy. Vaginally, it's wonderful. It provides a lot of sensation for a first time user, who I think would be best suited for this. Firm, but with a fair amount of give, optimal for thrusting, which I love. It doesn't have a hole for bullet insertion like many Tantus toys, but placing a vibe at the base while inserted causes vibrations to travel nicely up the shaft.

Material / Texture

The Acute is made of Tantus' lovely, silky silicone. No smell or taste. It's smooth to the touch with very little drag. This is great for thrusting as it doesn't irritate the vagina. The head especially is firm, but the shaft has a good amount of bend, though it is not squishy by any means.

    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I loved the design! As my username suggests, I'm a virgin. The Acute was the first thing besides tampons and my own fingers in my vagina, and it was great as a first time user. The first few times I tried different angles of penetration to see what worked, and after experimenting for a while you know what feels good. The bumps are great additions, providing a nice amount of sensation without being too much for a beginner.

In terms of size, it's on the normal side. The specs list it as 6" with 5" being insertable, 4" circumference and 1 1/4 diameter. A girlfriend told me it was about the size of an average penis.

Performance

After a few months, I was enjoying how vaginal sensations enhanced my clitoral orgasms. Then came vaginal orgasms, which quickly led to combo orgasms. I love it for thrusting, though, if you go too long, your hand can cramp a bit. It does have a flared base, but it's small enough that I can used my clunky vibrator without any obstruction.

I've had it for a year and have bought new toys to further explore the sensations this toy helped me discover. I'm sure it will remain a favorite.

Care and Maintenance

100% silicone so you have your choice of cleaning options. Bleach solution, boiling, dishwasher, toy cleaner/wipes, or plain antibacterial soap and water, which is my preferred method. It can collect lint if you leave it out, but nothing a rinse in the sink can't handle.

Packaging

I bought this on Amazon (forgive me, it was before I know about EF!) It came in Tantus's regular clear plastic casing, and Amazon had wrapped it in something (I think a black garbage bag), then taped it to conform to the package. I suppose this was done since Amazon isn't really known as a sex toy shop, as to keep things PG-13 since it is pretty phallic.

The box was nothing impressive, and I guess you could keep it for storage, but I think it's too flimsy.

Personal comments

This toy will always have a soft spot in my heart--I discovered the joys of vaginal penetration with it!

Experience

After I got used to penetration and grew to like it, I was soon able to have vaginal orgasms. Since using this during masturbation, clitoral stimulation just seems like foreplay compared to using the Acute. Consistent and strong orgasms.
Follow-up commentary
I still adore this toy! I've had it for about a year and a half now, and I recently used it on a whim after favoring some new toys for a few months. I was not disappointed; the Acute still hits all the right spots. I imagine it will be a staple in my toybox for years to come.
