The Latigo Leather Harness was my introduction to strap-on sex/play. It's affordable, and straightforward to use. It is black, with long nylon adjustable straps, and a black leather front piece. The straps snap in front to a removable O-ring.

This is a double-strap harness, which means the straps go across the bottom of the buttocks, rather than a g-string. I found this comfortable to wear, though it would occasionally need tightening after wearing it for a while (or after rougher play).

The removable o-ring feature gives the wearer a range of options in terms of what toys they can use it with. I have a small collection of flared-base dildos which stayed in place well with this harness. It can be used with realistic dildos or creatively shaped dildos, as long as these toys have a flared base. This harness is also compatible if your dildo has balls, since they can be held behind the O-ring.

The straps are nylon and adjustable. They're very long, so this harness should work for larger bodies. However, I found that the straps were so long that I needed to tie/pin them back in order to use the harness comfortably.

I found that this harness can be worn under some clothing, though this may need some adjustment, since the plastic adjuster pieces can show through. It is probably too bulky to soft pack.

I've had this harness for over two years, and it's held up well. I consider it a worthwhile investment for someone just starting out with strap-ons. It's highly adjustable, which means it can be shared among partners of varying sizes. Unfortunately, the plastic strap-adjusters mean it doesn't hold in place as well as some higher-end harnesses. But it's a good way to try out, explore, and see if you're ready for more.
