This toy was definitely designed
Well, it finally happened. I finally own my first
non-vibrating dildo that is not made of glass, stainless steel or wood. It is, in fact, made of the fabled VixSkin, a polymer that possesses many of the superior qualities of silicone. It can be boiled, run through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap), or sterilized with a 10% bleach solution. Please use water-based lube only with this product, as silicone lubes may destroy it.
The
VixSkin is truly amazing. It a soft layer of polymer over a harder core for a very realistic feeling. The
Raquel has a thicker layer of polymer than many dildos with a solid inner core, giving it a softer and more flexible feeling. Be warned, though, the VixSkin can get slightly tacky and tends to attract lint, dust and pet hair.
The Raquel is a lovely rose color, with a very wide white base, making her
safe for anal play, and
ideal to use in a harness. The base also makes a wonderful handle when using this dildo for thrusting purposes. It *can* have somewhat of a suction cup effect on a flat, horizontal surface if you smack it on firmly enough, but I would not rely on this for vigorous play. There is no hole in the base for a bullet, but you can easily use your
Hitachi or another strong vibrator against the base if you want to experience vibration.
The Raquel is fairly long and rather slender, except for the pronounced bulb of her head. This is a head that is just made for g-spot arousal! It is not firm or textured, but made rather to caress the g-spot with every thrust.
Though it measures in at 7 ½” insertable length, the Raquel is slender enough for beginners, except maybe for the bulbous head. The material is incredibly smooth, however, so insertion should not prove to be too difficult; and once you have it inserted, you will be glad you made the effort!
I am definitely quite pleased with my first
“regular” dildo, and although I love vibrations, I will not be as hesitant to use them in the future.
Despite its very flexible texture, the Raquel just calls out to be used with a harness! I hope to use it with one in the near future (just looking for that perfect harness!), and will post a follow-up review as soon as I do!
I prefer the O2 Niagara, hands down--it's one of my favorite toys!
which will you prefer Raquel or O2 Niagara
Thank you so much!
Great review - must get one of those in the future!
Just think of it as "rose" colored, and not the horrible "p-word"!
Seems like such a nice cock. If only they would make it in other colors... oh well.
That's why I'm here!
And no, the core doesn't really feel too thick on this one at all.
Thanks for replying! That helps. If the soft layer is thick, then I can't imagine the core being too large. :-)
Innocently Masturbating, I unfortunately can't give you an exact measurement on the stiffer core, since the outer layer doesn't come off. Rest assured, there is a thick layer of super soft silicone covering the core, so insertion is really quite comfortable. Sorry I can't be more specific, but hope this helped some!
How big is the stiffer core? I haven't stretched myself out much, but I'd love to try this sometime in the future, like when I find my g-spot.
I'm glad this works for you.
It really is a very pretty dildo, Bulma. Aesthetics are important to me, and this one definitely meets my standards!
VixSkin does feel pretty amazing. I have the lone star and really enjoy the way it feels, but think this one would be excellent for those days I don't want so much girth. It's pretty too
And thank you for another lovely comment, Jimbo! This really is an amazing dildo--the head is just perfectly designed, and the texture of the shaft is amazing!
The Raquel does earn some great marks from the EF reviewers. Makes it very tempting... Thanks for another great review.
Thanks, Oggins! The base on this is huge and cupped, too, so if you have a Hitachi or something similar, you can turn it into a "vibrator" with no trouble at all! The bulbed head on this one is awesome!
This one does seem to be very popular. I'm a vibration kinda girl though but, I love glass and really didn't expect to without the vibrations so, maybe it's time I try one of these out too! Great review!
