Crystal jellies ballsy - realistic dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Vanessa Weiss

I was given this dildo as a gift. The first thing I noticed was the smell - I hate that smell so very much. It's a sweet, chemical, and acrid aroma that you can almost taste, and which never, no matter how much you wash it, goes away. The second thing I noticed was the sticky, wet feel - like it hadn't ever fully dried. I realize that's the way it goes with jelly toys, but it was a turn-off. When stored next to another jelly toy, they interacted chemically and both were destroyed - to be honest, it wasn't a great loss. Make sure to store your jelly toys away from their jelly brethren.

Always, always, ALWAYS use a condom if you are going to play with this type of toy. The material of which they are made can cause irritation to the sensitive tissue in the mouth, anus and vagina. The tacky, sticky texture can also irritate, and you will have to use a LOT of lubricant - using a rubber will help with this a bit.

Jelly toys are very hard to keep clean and sanitary, as the gel-like material will stick to anything and everything, and it is very easy to nick or scratch the surface, making microscopic places for germs and bacteria to hide. These toys cannot be sterilized or washed like silicone or glass and must be washed by hand.

On the positive side, the shape and girth were nice, but as I have extremely sensitive "lady bits" it was not worth it - there are too many nice silicone toys out there and I'd much rather pay extra and get something that is more durable, less irritating to my skin and sensitive parts, and better constructed.

However, if you're looking for a cheap dong and you're willing to sacrifice quality, I suppose the Crystal Ballsy could be for you.

After dealing with the reeking mess that was the smell for a few months, I finally got fed up and got rid of this toy - it's unfortunate that it has such potential as a design but is made out of such a rancid material.
