As a beginner, looking for my first harness was difficult. Do I go for leather? Are those thin straps going to stand up to higher intensity action? Is this going to be uncomfortable? Will that hurt me? Bearing all these questions in mind, I decided the best thing to do would be to plow through all the harnesses available on Edenfantasys.

Easier said than done. First there were the O-ring and Vac-U-Lock types, which I was familiar with, conceptually. Then came the different strap systems, panty harnesses and all the fancy patent locking systems. Very confusing indeed. After quickly deciding that double strap harnesses would probably make my buttocks uncomfortable, I moved on to checking out the G-string harnesses.

Lucky me, the SpareParts Theo harness was first on the list! Browsing through the alternatives and poring over various reviews, I decided that the Theo harness was a good bet for a beginner like me and boy did it perform!

The hefty price tag on this harness was well explained when I first took it out of the packaging. The packaging itself is simple. It comes in an appropriately sized black box about the size of the thickest Harry Potter book, with a simple sleeve on the outside with a very brief product description and a picture. Inside the box was the harness, folded nicely, as well a high quality black storage pouch. The packaging exterior claimed that basic instructions for use could be found within, but I didn't find any such instruction. This wasn't a big deal though, since the harness is pretty straightforward and easy to figure out.

Pictures, and not even the video reviews on this product did it justice as to how incredibly comfortable it is. Made of a nylon/spandex combination, the harness is soft and smooth to the touch. The strap going under the crotch and back up against the buttocks is very well cushioned, while the waist/hip band is satisfyingly stretchy.

There are three main methods for adjusting the harness. First is the sets of Velcro straps, two on each side of the hip area, that allow you to make a general adjustment so that the harness hugs your hip comfortably. For smaller adjustments after this is accomplished, there are two pull-straps situated near the Velcro that you can use to further tighten the hip band, providing a more stable and secure feel. Finally, you can adjust the crotch strap. The crotch strap is basically a long cushioned strap, soft on the side that touches the skin and buttons on the other. The fact that the entire outside stretch of the crotch strap consists of buttons means that length adjustment is extremely versatile. SpareParts even provides you with an extension strap if you ever need the extra real estate!

The harness holds dildos via a stretchable O-ring that should accommodate most dongs. You push your dildo through the O-ring from the inside, then two overlapping folds cover up and hide the base of the dildo, also making it more comfortable against the skin. This feature could probably be improved if there was Velcro to secure the folds, or if they had some sort of elastic sewn in, but this was a small gripe and hardly affected me during use. It is important to note however, that because the stretchable O-ring is sewn in, it will not be possible to switch O-rings. In addition, because of the fabric, traces of lint will almost definitely end up sticking to any dildo made of silicone when you push it through the O-ring. Therefore, it will most probably be necessary to give your dildo a quick rinse after attaching it to the harness. Again, because of the exceptional comfort and stability offered, I didn't really feel like this was a big deal.

Cleaning the harness could't be simpler. Either hand wash it, or dump it in the washing machine on gentle cycle, and then lay flat to dry. Find a private place to dry the harness if you don't want people to see, because anybody who spies it will most likely be able to tell what it is.

Though SpareParts sells this harness in small and large, I highly doubt anyone would ever need to purchase the large version. The small accommodates hip sizes ranging from small framed to female bodybuilder.
