(OMJ) OH MY JEL-LEE
If you are looking for a beginner harness for gender play, then I would definitely suggest the "Jel-lee Strap-On With Harness." It's fun, easy to use, and enjoyable for both parties!Published: October 16, 2009
Pros:
Great beginner harness for a reasonable price.
Cons:
I wasn't very fond of the material, and it wasn't as easy to care for as other materials.
Follow-up commentary

The area where the middle "V" piece and the strap meet on the left side of the harness has begun to tear. When it breaks, I'll probably just sew it so that we can continue to use this harness. The dildo on the other hand has been exiled to the bottom of the drawer. I, myself, was never really fond of the "jel-lee" material, but after reading more information on it, and hearing some peoples stories about it I've been more reluctant to use it. The material has gotten tacky, and tends to collect debris. I would much rather use a silicone toy, but if I do use this toy again it will probably be with a condom, just to make sure that my partner or I don't have any kind of reaction or hygiene issue with it.

Nylon or not to Nylon?

So About 2 months ago my fiance and I purchessed the "Girls Shorts" harness for our first try.
It was extremely, badly, horrible sewn, and after only about 6 times of use one of the straps is now hanging by just a thread.
So I was wondering. Does anyone have any experience with this harness? Does it not hold up well to regular wear and tear?
Also I am a vegetarian and I don't do leather so I'm looking for something strong, animal friendly, and also budget friendly. -
this looks like a good harness with nothing in the way.

Thank you for viewing Jill Kelly's jel-lee strap-on with harness – sex toy review page!

Muffy - welcome to the community. I'm glad to hear that this toy worked well for you - but I have one caution - you and your hubby may develop a sensitivity to jelly materials which is generally atributed to their pthalte content. I've had to get rid of all our jelly toys - except for a couple that I always use a condom on to protect against an allergic reaction.
Keep an eye out for more body friendly materials like silicone - my wife has developed an absolute fetish for glass (Dichroic spiral with handle) and steel (PureWand)
Happy hunting!
You can always toss the jelly dildo and use a silicone one instead.
Thanks for the advice about the jelly material Gunsmoke! I was never really that fond of the material myself, and the hubby and I actually just bought two new dildos (both made of silicon) so I may just take your advice and toss the Jelly one. I think we'll probably take Misha's advice too and hold on to the harness.
Thanks for your feedback
After owning both jelly & silicone I see why people prefer silicone for the most part, the ease of cleaning alone makes it worth it. This, while a little on the larger side for a beginner, is still a good beginners toy
I totally agree Bill1348. Thanks for the feedback
Welcome Muffy (& boyfriend)...yep be careful with the materials and if unsure always use the condoms. Our latest review revealed how we were not careful and paid the consequences.
Thank you for the welcome
I'll have to make sure to check out your latest review!
I would definitely recommend using condoms if you continue to use it
I hope you are able to sew and keep using the harness!
We haven't used the dildo much since I wrote the review, but condoms will definitely be used in the future if we decide to use it again. As for the tear, it isn't that bad and I can easily fix it! Who knew sewing could come in handy for sex toy maintenance? Thank you for your comments.
Is the material very durable as far as you know?
Great review!
