I use this toy both for solo play and for pegging. I think this is one of the best toys I have found for anal use because it is so smooth. Often toy makers get too gimmicky and overdo it with either too many or overly large bumps and ridges. Silk on the other hand is perfect for vigorous in and out thrusting. It has never left me sore or with an uncomfortable pulling sensation on the way out.

Besides the smooth texture the size is perfect for rubbing against the prostate. It is also just big enough that you really feel it, but not so big that it cannot easily be used anally.

The material is amazing. It is 100% silicone so cleaning is easy and it is very durable. For cleaning purposes, warm soapy water works fine but you can also boil it to get things completely sterile.

Silk also has a little bit of flexibility but it is not at all floppy. It is firm enough to stand up on its own. However, Silk is not rigid so it conforms well to the inside of your body. I find the slight flexibility makes Silk more comfortable to use because it does not force you to adjust to it like harder toys often do.

Silk also lives up to its name by being incredibly smooth. Besides not having bumps or ridges, the actual texture of the material is silky smooth. In general, silicone toys are smoother than other materials, but Silk is especially slick.

The size and shape of Silk are perfect for all-around play. It is not the biggest toy out there, and it does not have any crazy shapes or extra appendages hanging off. What it does have is a length and girth that hit the spot, at least for me, every time. I have to admit sometimes I get a little greedy and want something bigger, but nine times out of ten I could not ask for more.

If you are a novice to anal play, you may need to warm up with something a bit smaller. For that I would recommend one of the smaller Silks. I have the small, medium, and large, and they are all top-notch products. For a more experienced user, Silk Large should be something you can easily handle with minimal effort.

I know some people might be turned off by how plain the design is but sometimes less is more. Silk has a slight variation in the width from head to shaft which gives a little extra sensation without being overly dramatic. Also the smooth, sleek shape makes it perfect for use in harness because it slides in and out so easily.

Basically this is a great pegging dildo. The one problem I have had using Silk in a harness is that the base is not that big so it sometimes slips out. (I have actually found this to be a common problem with Tantus dildos) The solution I have found to the slippage problem is to use two o-rings. The best luck I have had is to use one metal ring and one rubber ring, putting the metal ring towards the recipient and the rubber one towards the wearer. The metal ring gives it more structure so that the rings will not stretch out. While the rubber ring adds some extra grip and holds onto the base.

Care and maintenance of Silk are very easy. It is silicone so it will not absorb odors nor harbor bacteria. I clean it with warm water and soap right after use. This seems to keep it like new. I generally do not boil my toys but silicone toys can be boiled to get them perfectly clean.

For storage I keep all my silicone toys in a plastic freezer bag. I have heard that silicone toys can dry out if the are not kept sealed up but I have never met anyone who has had this problem. In any case, you can not be too safe with a toy this great.
