Packing--with Balls!

This toy is definitely worth the investment, especially for anyone looking for a realistic cock. It's sturdy, well-designed and incredibly harness-friendly. You probably won't find another flesh-toned silicone dildo with free-hanging balls outside of specialty prosthetics.
Published: April 28, 2011
Pros:
Easily sanitized, flexible, realistic, free-hanging balls, very harness-friendly
Cons:
Could be a little more realistically colored, cannot be worn under clothing

Use

The Goodfella has so many great features that it's hard to single out just one as a selling point. Not only is it incredibly realistic (try to find another flesh-toned silicone dildo with full, free-hanging balls--I dare you!), it's made of very soft, body-safe silicone that can be easily sterilized. The design is so ingenious and attractive that I'm surprised I haven't seen any copy-cats on the market.

While it really shines when being used in a harness, it works very well as a regular dildo. The flared base and balls make it easy to handle and manipulate, and also make it safe for anal use.

This is a great toy for trans-men, and works beautifully as a hard-packer. While I've seen some people say that you can pack with this in public, I have to wonder what they're using to strap this guy down. No matter what I'm wearing, it always looks like I'm sporting some serious wood. Great if that's what you're going for, but not discreet at all.

Material / Texture

This toy is made out of some pretty durable silicone, considering how soft it is. I've had mine for nearly three years, and it's only got a bit of slight tearing thanks to some particularly rough oral sex. Because it's made entirely of non-porous silicone, it's very easily sterilized, which is good if you plan on using this anally or sharing it between partners.

Like all silicone toys, it's fairly sticky, but not exactly tacky. Because of this, it will attract fuzz, pubic hair, and just about anything else. A light dusting with corn starch will cut down on this considerably, though, as well as give it a very, very nice silky texture. Without corn starch or lube, it is almost impossible to give this toy a hand-job because it catches on skin very easily. The toy had a slight odor and taste right after buying it, but it has since disappeared completely.

The dick itself is soft and easily bended, but still very firm and erect. It has a firm but flexible core, covered in a squishy and pliable outer layer. It doesn't quite pinch and slide like real skin, but it's still very pleasant to the touch. The head and balls are squishy and very squeezable.

Design / Shape / Size

As of writing this, the Goodfella is the only silicone dildo I've been able to find with a full, round set of balls that actually hang outside of a harness. It's also fairly realistic for a single-color toy. I've seen some pretty well-done silicone color gradients in sex-toys before, so this is something that could possibly be improved upon. Despite the fact that it's monochrome, there is some nice detailing on the cock itself. There are some raised veins on the shaft, as well as some foreskin detailing and a visible bulge where the urethra would be. The head has a noticeable urethral opening, which is fun to run your finger over and adds even more tactile interest.

There is some noticeable texturing on the balls, with some wrinkles and a prominent, but still realistic seam (raphe) down the middle. The completely symmetrical, coin-purse balls are a little more petite and idealized than I would prefer, but that's just a matter of taste. Also, like I've said before, you aren't going to find many dildos with free-hanging balls, so beggars can't be choosers.

The size is pretty realistic for an FTM of average size, and it's definitely one of the smaller flesh-colored, harness compatible dildos out there with a full scrotum.

I've seen some people complain about the size, but for someone who isn't used to large toys, it feels very girthy and filling. It's slightly too large for my partner to take without a lot of prep and lube, but I find it to be a very good size for myself.

Performance

Like I said before, the Goodfella shines when used with a harness. It is very easy to slip in and out of an o-ring, but incredibly sturdy once it's in--this guy isn't going anywhere unless you want him to. In the right harness and with the right positioning, the wearer can get some noticeable friction with either the base or the balls, which feels pretty great in action.

The person on the receiving end is also in store for a treat, as the soft, slightly-curved, flexible shaft of the Goodfella contours very nicely to your body and hits the G-spot easily.

This is definitely a toy to keep away from prying eyes, if you're a more private sort of person, because it is not at all discreet. It's large, very obviously a penis, and will probably not be mistaken for anything other than a sex toy if found by another person. The balls, while a boon in the bedroom, do you no favors if you are trying to slip it into a purse or luggage for traveling.

Care and Maintenance

This cock is made from pure silicone, which means it is not only very easy to care for, but also one of the safest materials that can be used in a sex toy. The body-safe, non-porous material can be easily sanitized with either soap and water, or a couple of minutes in boiling water.

Because it is silicone, however, it is only compatible with water-based lubricants, as silicone-based ones will degrade the toy. You also shouldn't store it up against other silicone toys for this reason.

Unless you plan on replacing it every couple of years, you should also be a at least a little careful during oral sex, since teeth can tear the soft outer layer of silicone. The tears on ours aren't very noticeable, but it's something to keep in mind if you want this expensive toy to last you a long time.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to sanitize

Packaging

The Goodfella came packed in a fairly durable (still in one piece after almost 3 years!) plastic container. The toy can be stored in there, as it is resealable, and there are no sharp seams or corners to catch and tear the silicone. Because it's made of clear plastic, though, its contents are pretty much visible to the world, so it's not very discreet.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

The Goodfella is a great addition to any gender-player or trans-man's arsenal. I originally chose it because it was sanitary and realistic, but it's remained one of both my and my partner's favorite toys. Because it's so comfortable, realistic and easy to use, it's almost become something of an extension of myself, even when it's stored safely in a drawer.

If or when it eventually wears out, I will most definitely be purchasing a new one.

Great review! Thanks for the reminder to get lube - I could have forgotten and would have probably omitted that in my order.

  • The Goodfella and Why I love this site
    • Recently I was browsing ebay and came across a listing for the Goodfella. I saw a shocking price; $994.

That's right. Nearly a thousand dollars. That's roughly ten times the amount it's listed for on Eden.

Sometimes I just can't believe how jacked up prices are everywhere else.
Yet another reason why I love this site.

Anyone else have any similar experiences?
    • Ebay is starting to regulate their listings for this purpose! Eden is probably listing it at the fair market value, which most places do. Even the porn start replica's only go for a few hundred dollars, max!
    • A thousand dollar dildo? Daaaaamn. Only if it used to belong to Angelina Jolie.

As for porn star replicas, I'm pretty disappointed with them. I'm a huge fan of Tony Buff, but I still won't buy his "realistic cock" because it's made of PVC.

  • What harness would you recommend to go with the goodfella
    • -m-
I'm thinking about getting the goodfella and am trying to find a good harness to use with it. I was looking into the spareparts joque harness, but don't know how well they'd work together. Any suggestions?

Honestly, I'm not too knowledgeable about harnessess, I got a Sophia's red Rider and bought some rubber rings for it since I have a lot of odd-shaped toys and toys with odd-shaped bases. I also tend to mess with it and do all sorts of non-cannon alterations for my own purposes.
    • Most harnesses, including the Jocque, should work just fine with the Goodfella. The balls+base make it a bit harder to get the dildo mounted, and a rubber ring will probably be easier to deal with than a metal ring (metal rings are rare unless you get one aftermarket).
