Vamp - dildo by Tantus - review by softcoeur

This gorgeous silicone dildo is one you won’t get tired of soon. It has a realistic length and average girth that should suit both beginners or advanced users, and its straight body and realistic head are great for simple penetration and g-spot stimulation. It has a flared base that make it easy to hold for thrusting, and that can be used in a harness (though I did not do so).

This was my first pure silicone dildo from Tantus. The silicone is high-quality, with no obvious imperfections, no taste and smell. Being used to the matte, quite pliable silicone of an older Fun Factory vibe (the first generation Gigolo), I was surprised at the glossiness of the Vamp, its firmness, and weight.

The glossiness of this dildo is beautifully enhanced by the subtle sparkles and smoothness of its surfaces. The slanted head is realistic, with a pronounced lip. When you hold the shaft in your hand, you can see and feel the irregular undulations running vertically down it, but there are no obvious veins as some realistic dildos have.

The surface is slightly sticky to the touch, and attracts lint and dust easily.

If you don’t like extremely realistic dildos and yet like a somewhat realistic penis shape, you'll probably like the Vamp. The head is tapered for easy insertion or pleasant clitoral stimulation. The slanting lip under one side of the head has quite a deep overhang. Although I like “lippy” shapes for that pulling sensation on withdrawal, something about the shape or depth of the Vamp’s lip didn’t work for me, and in fact was quite uncomfortable at times.

The Vamp is 6-3/4” long, with a flat base that extends out about ½” all around its 5” circumference. Its shape is straight, with no bend or kink, making it excellent for thrusting. It is not extremely girthy, and might not be filling enough for everyone.

This is a well-made, versatile silicone toy that will last for years with proper care.

The Vamp didn’t have enough girth for me to feel really filled or stretched, and I don’t consider myself a size queen. I liked it best for simple thrusting, which its smoothness and straight body suited it well for. The silicone was firm yet had enough flexibility and give that I didn't worry about bruising while thrusting hard. I did find the deep lip under one side of the slanted head rather too draggy and quite uncomfortable sometimes, until I rotated it away from my g-spot. Even though I would have liked slightly more girth, the full head and subtle shaping of the Vamp’s shaft gave plenty of delicious sensation.

This toy is 100% silicone, making it safe and wonderfully easy to care for. If you’re sharing, or using the toy both vaginally and anally, it can be boiled, cleaned with a bleach solution, or put in the dishwasher. Otherwise, cleaning with soap and water or a toy cleaner is just fine, and the Vamp easily sits upright on its base for air drying.

Remember that for silicone toys you should use water-based lubes only, otherwise the finish of the toy might be damaged.

I found that this dildo attracted lint and dust (and cat hair!) very very easily, so I wash it before as well as after use. I store it in a satin toy bag so that it doesn’t come into contact with other toys in my toy box.

Despite the shape of the deep ridge under the head being sometimes uncomfortable for me, I’m very happy with it. I love that it’s a no-frills straight dildo, somewhere between realistic and stylized, made of good quality 100% silicone that's easy to take care of. And, it’s simply a lovely thing. The creamy, sparkly shine and the gentle waves running down its body give it great visual interest, and the glossiness and weight really appeal to me. The sheen changes in different lights, adding to the mesmerizing effect. I'm hooked!
