Crystal blue jag - double strap harness by ASLAN Leather - review by KrissyNovacaine

Harnesses offer a great way to use penetrative toys hands free. This one can accommodate toys up to 2" in diameter without having to purchase a separate ring. This is great for anyone who wants to penetrate a partner with a toy that has a low waist under 46".

The design of this very secure while still being comfortable for those that will fit it. If you are the right size, skip the cheap ones and buy an Aslan.

This is made from a supple leather and metal hardware. There are actually two different kinds of leather used to make this harness. The blue is a super thin leather backed with the white leather that is used in the rest of the harness.

This is very soft and supple which makes it very comfortable on the skin. There are no rough edges to make it uncomfortable.

It does have a very mild leather scent, but it is not overpowering or unpleasant.

This leather is right on the line of sturdy. It won't tear due to normal use, but it will tear if some thing sharp stage over it. I don't expect that too happen in normal use, but it is something to be aware of.

Leather needs to be kept as dry as possible. Don't immerse this in a wet environment. You can get it damp for short periods for use or cleaning, but make sure you wipe as much water off of it and let it air dry flat before storing it.

Every stitch is sturdy and every metal attachment is high quality. I won't knock Aslan for that. The straps hold up to a significant amount of tugging. I actually did get this on, albeit uncomfortably, without any damage or strain to it.

The top straps are connected to the front with o rings and buckle around the back. The straps that go through the legs are connected to the top strap with d rings. I actually really liked this because it made adjusting them really easy.

The o ring I'm the front is attached with leather strips that have a snap to release it. The snaps are very sturdy and take quite a bit of force to open which means they aren't going to come undone during play.

In addition to the o ring, there is a circle cut out behind it, so you can put the base of a dildo against you rather then the harness or use a double ended dildo.

The o ring out comes with seems to be a rubber and has a 2" diameter. The hole behind it has a 1.75"diameter. It'll fit larger toys, any ones that have some kind of base. You can also use smaller rings that can be purchased separately. I prefer metal rings which are compatible with all toy ,materials.

I am plus size. I am tall, naturally curvy, and chubby. This is a perfect storm of trying to find a harness that is high quality, comfortable, and even remotely sexy. When I found the Crystal Blue Jag I thought all my hopes had finally been fulfilled. The product page promised that this would fit up to 56". I have come to find out that this is a typo.

All of Aslan's other Jag harnesses are marked to fit 46". This one is no exception. My measurements put this at exactly 46" at the very widest. On the smallest setting, the waist is 32".

The straps that run through the legs are about 20" long, so there is plenty of room for adjustment that way.

I wasn't able to use this because my waist was just outside of the actual size rather then the size promised on the product page. I got it on, but it was a bit too tight. It was rather disappointing to not be able to actually use it.

Aslan included a great guide for care with the product. The stated:

"To care for your ASLAN Leather:
With a moist cloth and a little soap (dish soap or leather cleaner) wipe the area to be cleaned. Wipe off excess soap using a moist cloth. Pat dry immediately, be sure to get all the moisture out of fold and creases. Store your leather in a cool dry place away from direct heat and light.

To keep your ASLAN Leather looking new:
Never soak or submerge you leather in water
Do not hang to dry always dry completely after cleaning
Protect metal rivets from tarnish by applying a coat of clear nail polish
Condition your leather with leather conditioner when the leather shows signs of dryness."

All of this is great advice for maintaining any leather product.

These came in a large plastic ziplock-esque bag. It was clear so you can clearly see the item through it. There is no discretion with the packaging at all. There was a small tag affixed to the o ring that gives care and maintenance instructions and their lifetime guarantee.

The ziplock bag can easily be kept for storage, but it is a bit big.
