Use

The Vamp is a silicone dildo from Tantus. As a somewhat beginner dildo user myself, I think that this dildo can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced users, provided the proper warm is completed. The Vamp can be used alone, with a partner, with a harness, in the shower and in shared living arrangements. It can be used for vaginal or anal stimulation as well. There is no vibration involved in this toy, so there is no concern with sounds.

Material / Texture

The Vamp is made of "100% ultra-premium platinum silicone" according to the box it came in. It is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and phthalate free. The feel of the material is fantastic! It is soft and squeezable, but has enough firmness to hold it's shape and stand up to pressure applied in play for insertion. There is absolutely no smell or taste to the material. The smoothness of the material allows for lovely gliding in and out. The realist veins and head of the penis give great textural stimulation. The veins are big enough to feel during insertion, but they make the experience that much more realistic when you feel them in your hand.

Design / Shape / Size

The Vamp is a realistic dildo that is a paler almost white color with subtle sparkle. There is a hint of flesh tone coloring to the dildo which warms it up just a little bit. The total length of the Vamp is 6 3/4" with an insertable length of 6 1/4". This was really more than enough for me, as a beginner with dildos. I feel like I could definitely work up to more, but this was plenty for me. The circumference of the Vamp measures in at 5" with a diameter of 1 1/2". Again, for a beginner, plenty here! I found I needed to make sure I had plenty of prep work and warm up to get this going; but once I did, the feeling of this dildo inside me is great! As far as travel goes, so long as no one else will be looking through your baggage and you have something to store this in to keep lint away, it should be fine. There is no danger of accidentally turning it on since there are no vibrations. If it is seen, there is no mystery as to what it is.

Performance

The best thing about the Vamp is it's realistic look and feel. The material it is made out of allows it slide in and out with appropriate lubricant and feel amazing. There is plenty of length to allow you to hold on and thrust at whatever pace you are most enjoying. The worst thing is it's attraction to lint. Seriously, you have to wash this before and after every use, especially if you have a pet friendly home. This dildo is harness compatible; however, I did not try this feature out.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance of the Vamp are a breeze. Be sure to always use a water-based lubricant with this dildo. Using silicone-based products can cause reactions and deterioration in your toy. Also, try to keep your Vamp dildo out of contact with other silicone toys for the same reason.

To clean the Vamp, you have plenty of options. This material can be cleaned in the dishwasher (without soap), boiled, cleaned with 10% bleach solution, or soap and water. It may also be a good idea to get a bag that will protect your toy from lint and hair as well as other silicone toys.

Packaging

The packaging for the Vamp is not discreet at all. It is a clear plastic box with a view of the wonderful Vamp. It has the name of the company and the toy on the outside along with info on the material that it is made of. The back of the box has information about the company. Once you open the box, there is a plastic insert that is fitted around the Vamp to keep it in place.

Experience

As I mentioned earlier, I am largely a beginner when it comes to dildos. I selected the Vamp as my next conquest into the dildo world because it looks realistic and isn't ridiculously large like so many dildos out there. When I tried this out, I applied a good amount of water-based lubricant and started to try and work it in. The material combined with the lubricant definitely makes things very slippery! I had started by warming up a little with a vibrator on my clit. Once I got the head in, which is by far the widest part on the dildo, I was able to start thrusting. I enjoyed the give but firmness of the Vamp while it was inside me. The feeling of being full while using a clitoral vibrator, which is my preferred method of getting off, was amazing. This dildo can be used for anal penetration as well, but this is not something that I explored at this point.

I also tried the Vamp in the shower. I used the water-based lubricant again in the shower, but found that the water rinsed it off quicker than it could be helpful. I found that I needed a great deal more warm up without the aid of the lube to be able to enjoy this toy in the shower. Of course, this toy is completely safe to use in the shower, with no concern of water damage to motors since there isn't a motor.
Follow-up commentary
The longer I've had this and the more toys I've tried, the more I've come to love my Vamp. The material is wonderful and still holding up with no signs of wear. I love how it warms to body temperature and has a somewhat realistic texture. The best part of the Vamp for me, though, has been it's ability to hit my g-spot. The Vamp feels amazing when inserted. Period. The flared base is great for gripping for thrusting and the head hits all the right spots. I really want to get some more Tantus toys or other silicone toys to join the Vamp, I just love the material. I think this is a silicone dildo that can either beautify a diverse toy collection or strengthen a small toy collection. And it's still sparkly. :)

Ugh, this thing is a total lint magnet. I keep it in a plastic baggy when I'm not using it. Even just going from the bathroom to the bedroom, it usually picks up a couple pieces of (dog)hair and grossness.

      Just for thought - I can see the logic behind not being able to have multiple versions of one project out; at the same time, lots of products are available in more than one color and it could be a choice like that. :)
