First opening this harness, I assumed it was nothing special. Just an average strap-on harness. In many ways, it is. But its versatility in both wear-ability and size range, as well as its ability to accommodate different sized O-Rings makes me love this harness!

It's made of leather and nylon but has never really had that lovely leather smell. It has never had a bad smell either so I can't really complain. I just would've liked to have that leathery smell that I lust after.
The leather is not amazing quality but is definitely not bad either. I've had it almost a year and even with heavy use, it's not showing any signs of wear, aside from a few barely noticeable creases. The nylon hasn't begun to fray or tear. Overall, it's held up very well to what most would consider rough play.

This harness is very strong. One of our toys that we use with it is about 10 inches long by 3 inches in diameter. And its weight matches its dimensions. BIG. This harness has no problems holding onto it or staying where I need it without sagging or slipping!

The Latigo Leather Harness looks so sexy when I'm wearing it. It has a definite "Hard Core" look to it, which can be slightly softened by removing the leather pad. Even with the leather pad removed, it holds very well. I haven't noticed any real difference in performance, with or without the leather pad. Removing the pad allows for a lot more skin-to-skin contact, which I know a lot of people would love. I do. It really is great to have the soft leather OR the straps against your skin to suit your mood. Some people might find when using this without underwear underneath, that without the leather pad, the snaps have the possibility of being itchy or otherwise uncomfortable. I've never had this problem, but particularly if you have a larger frame, you might.

One "bad" thing. When wearing this harness, if you are doing any positions other than standing up/doggie style, you need to tighten it a lot. Sometimes more tight than looks comfortable. It's never actually been uncomfortable for me, but it can create lines and bulges, which some people could find unattractive looking. But it is a very small con that has never really gotten in my way and definitely wouldn't keep me from buying it again!
