Oh Tantus dildos, how I love thee. The silk large, one third of the Tantus silk line, is a fabulous dildo that everyone should own. It comes in a clear box; not terribly useful for storage, although I suppose it could be saved. As with all Tantus products it is medical grade silicone, free from any odor or taste. This toy holds up just fine for a pre-play run through the dishwasher's sanitize setting, and can also be bleached or boiled if it is one you mean to share. The dildo is just at the 7 inch mark, with a larger head than body, and looks big but not unreasonable. It is smooth; no seams anywhere, and it's non-sticky. The base makes it harness compatible, although a slightly larger base would have been nice. It stayed in my harness fine and was comfortable pushing against my body. It warmed to body temperature fairly quickly. The large is not so large that you need to pack specialty condoms; a standard condom went over it with no problem. The base also gives a decent grip for handheld play.

I used the medium ring on my harness, and with a bit of working it held the silk large in place. The larger ring goes on easily, but due to the small base, it comes off fairly easily too. No one wants their strap-on falling out mid-thrust, so I recommend going smaller on the ring, even if it means you need to use a little lube. Speaking of lube, this toy is silicone, so officially silicone-based lube should not be used on it. However, I will say I used Überlube which is silicone-based and had no issues. Its smooth texture works nicely with water-based and oil-based as well. Cleaning this seamless toy is super easy and I keep it loose in my toy bag where it has not reacted with any of my other Tantus products or picked up much lint. I can't speak highly enough of how well-made Tantus products are, and this is no exception.

I used this toy for pegging my submissive boy, otherwise known as fucking him in the ass. He is experienced and took it as if it were nothing, but I believe even a beginner could handle this toy with a good warmup and lots of lube. The length was perfect for heavy thrusting and the larger diameter at the tip was pleasurable to him. It has got some give and you can bend it, but I had no issues of it bending during use; solid enough while not being hard. I decided I need to feel this one myself, and while it would be better with a bit of a curve, I must say I am a fan. Normally I cannot handle larger dildos and this is on the larger side, but I was able to take it without trouble. It gave a nice feeling of fullness and very little resistance.

This is a great toy for strap-on harnesses and just as a handheld dildo. The Tantus silk large is an excellent big brother to the small and medium. No toy bag should be without it.

This toy just doesn't get old, and after several years of use it shows no sign of wear. I don't recommend that anyone treat their dildos like I do - all just thrown in a bag, and kept in my trunk despite the weather. But hot or cold, nothing seems to bother this lovely toy. I have even used silicone lube (not recommended) on it, and washed it off right away, and no damage was done. I would say I have gotten my money's worth ten times over.
