Some Mildly Interesting Sensations

For me, Theta did not provide lots and lots of G-spot stimulation, it's just too flexible to give good firm stimulation. The head provides some nice sensations when popping in and out, and the design is filled with elegant curves. Theta isn't a bad toy by any means, but won't be anything mindblowing for most.

Use

Theta is another of the rapidly disappearing Elements line from Tantus. Its larger head and curved body are designed to stimulate the G-spot, however it's a bit on the flexible side and isn't going to work this way for a lot of women. It also has a very large base making it safe for anal play.

Material / Texture

Theta is comprised of Tantus' very nice, squishy silicone. It does pick up some lint and hold on to some scents. Scented cleaners and flavored lubes aren't the worst things it can hold onto, but if you notice it holding on to more unpleasant scents, you can always wash it really well and leave it out to air out for a few days. It is very squishy and very flexible as well. It's also very smooth, and a minimal amount of lube is needed for vaginal use.

Design / Shape / Size

Theta is a total of about 6" tall with just over 5" being insertable. The teardrop shaped head is about 1 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" around, and meets up with the curved shaft that goes from 2" around right under the head to about 3 1/4" around at the base of the shaft. The very base of the shaft is hollow to allow room for the included bullet to go in through the base, which is just over 3" long in the long direction and just over 2" wide the short way.

The bullet is about 2" long or so, and runs on 3 LR44 batteries. It's got one mode of vibration, and while not the loudest ever, isn't exactly whisper quiet either. Think like those really annoying cell phones that you can hear vibrate from across the room. It's also got a really nice o-ring on it, meaning that you can safely play in the shower as well.

While it's not immediately obvious that this is a sex toy, it probably wouldn't take much to figure out so you should keep it stored away while not in use.

Performance

You can easily use Theta in a harness, but it's a little too flexible to be good for anal thrusting. As an anal plug, it'll take a little bit of work to get it in. Vaginally the head feels neat popping in and out (if you like those sensations) but it doesn't really seem to do much for the G-spot. It is girthy enough to let you know it's there, so unless you normally prefer larger dildos you should still get some enjoyment out of this. The vibrations can be felt, but more that they're there and not that they're really doing anything. They're felt easiest in the base of the toy, but even that isn't a whole lot.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is very easy. Because Theta is silicone you can boil it, bleach it, run it through the dishwasher on the top rack with no soap, or even just wash it in a sink with warm soapy water. If you want to share with a partner during the same session, just add on a condom. You can either store it in the original packaging or in a plastic bag or toy pouch. Because it's silicone you should stick with water based lubes unless you do a patch test and your silicone lube doesn't react.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty nice and very typical of Tantus. Theta sits inside a molded clamshell with the bullet, and all that goes inside a plastic box that tells you about Tantus's silicone and not necessarily about the toy itself. It can be given as a gift or used as storage if you like.

Experience

I don't not like Theta, but I'm not in love with it either. I do really enjoy the feeling of the head popping in and out, and with really quick thrusting I can kind of feel some sort of stimulation internally, but otherwise it just doesn't seem to do much for me. I come back to it every now and then for that lovely popping sensation, and if that's something that you enjoy, then get this one while you can, but otherwise keep looking for something that does G-spot stimulation better.
