Outlaw Leather of Seattle, a business that has handcrafted unique leather harnesses since 2004, presents us with SYD.
Outlaw Harnesses are best known, not only for their quality, but also for their double dildo capacity. You can wear a single dildo, or you can snap apart the dildo holder on the posterior side and put in two different dildos-one for the recipient and one for you, the wearer. They may be different sizes and brands. The recipient's O hole window is slightly higher than the wearer's O hole on the front piece. The O holes ride very low on the mons pubis for increased stimulation and naturalness.The front piece of SYD is a deep, red vinyl with the reverse of the vinyl comfortably sueded. The O hole window is 2 inches in diameter and has three leather snaps for interchangeable O rings. It comes with one black nitrile rubber O ring and a nickel plated steel O ring for your heavy duty jobs!!! There is a little strip of three pyramid studs over the O ring window for decorative purposes.
The straps are made of soft black leather and can fit hips up to 54 inches. There are metal buckles on each side of the hip for security. The leg straps adjust with D rings on either side, and they are quite generous with the amount of strap material, so trim it to fit.
SYD, like its outlaw sister Annie O, has a two piece "corseted" back band made of red vinyl with sueded interior and a black suede inset where the two bands meet. This part is not adjustable. Instead of ties, it has rivets, three sets of them, with three large safety pins going through the rivets. If you hate the idea of safety pins, remove them and use a black suede shoelace. Instead of leaving the red vinyl backpiece with just rivets and safety pins, the top of the back piece has a strip of five pyramid shaped studs on a black leather strip for a cool punk rock look. Between this back piece and the leather leg straps, it accentuates a great derriere.
SYD arrives in a black, velveteen drawstring pouch and a tag that says "Outlaw Leather, push your luck". On the reverse of the tag it shows how to snap apart the front piece and insert your goodies.
Outlaw products can be washed by rinsing in warm water and using your hands with antibacterial soap on the harness. Don't soak or use abrasive cloths, washcloths are fine. Pat dry and hang to dry for an average of 4 to 6 hours, not in direct sunlight. Leather protectants like saddle soap, mink oil, etc are okay on the leather parts and hardware.

Experience
SYD is, for me, an exciting harness that fits my offbeat rock and roll eighties style personality. It was also secure and comfortable to wear, and easy to wash. It's beautifully made. I also find that it is most effective, if you are double dildo'ing it, to use dildos with bases similar in size for non-slip security, or have the recipient's base slightly larger. I'd been fooling around with this option, and this way seems to be most secure for me.

This harness is just so me, it would be more me if it was all black leather, but you can't have everything (and if you did have everything, where would you put it all). Holding up well and quite well used.

This is one of the cuter harnesses I've seen. If you had to choose one harness as your favorite, which one would you choose out of all the ones you've reviewed. Great review! The hubby and I are in the market for a new harness and I'll keep this one in mind.
As far as comfort, discreteness and portability- Spare Parts Joque.
As far as comfort, the Jaguar. Only gets better and softer with age.
As far as looks SYD, second Annie O, third La Femme.

Oh wow, I'm not one for harnesses, but this one is hot. The back design is quite unique.
Curious as to whether the leather on the Syd becomes softer and more pliable with use? I too love the look. My Jaguar started out soft and as you said, it just gets better.
Perhaps stiffness of the Syd is a trade-off for the "rugged look"?

The leather on SYD gets softer, the red vinyl parts do not. Saddle soap really improved mine. SYD isn't stiff at all. The leather is also thin like Aslan's Jag.
