The Consummate Beginner's Sex Toy

The Tantus Compact is that quiet, modest guy who doesn't proclaim his prowess from the rooftops because he doesn't have to. Like that guy, once you get the Compact into bed, you won't want to let it go. Impeccable for beginners, or anyone who likes slim toys, the Tantus Compact also boasts an incredibly low price for a high-quality body-safe silicone toy.

Use

The Tantus Compact can be used either vaginally or anally, due to its flared base and silicone material. It is harness compatible, and has a good firmness and size for painless thrusting. Its curve and head are designed for g-spot or p-spot stimulation, and its gentle ridges feel wonderful gliding in and out.

I found my g-spot with this toy easily. I appreciate that it's neither too large nor too hard; its size and firmness are great for exploration without pain. Since my g-spot is sensitive, I am able to manipulate the Compact to stimulate both my g-spot and clitoris at the same time. Because the Compact is somewhat flexible, and has some give, you can use it on a partner without fear that you'll accidentally hurt them. My boyfriend loves watching me play with it, and it feels great when he uses it on me.

Material / Texture

The Compact is made of body-safe medical grade silicone. It has a very smooth texture that lets it slide in and out of the body with ease. The ripples along the shaft add a little stimulation, and give the toy a bit of grip: just enough to be pleasurable, and never uncomfortable. Its head is slightly harder than the rest of the toy for extra stimulation of the g-spot or prostate. It is exactly hard enough for g-spot orgasms for me when thrust gently. For those who, like me, have a sensitive g-spot, that's easily stimulated and therefore easily hurt, the Compact's combination of firmness and "give" are just right.

Design / Shape / Size

I chose a pink Compact because I'm enamored of Tantus' pearl pink dildos. They have such a luxurious sheen. The Compact also comes in red and black.

This dildo has 4 1/2 insertable inches. It has a 1 1/2 inch diameter, 1/4 inch thick base for harness play. The base makes an excellent handle. The head is 1/2 inch in diameter, with the rest of the shaft being a little bit thinner, except the ripples. While it's vaguely phallic, it doesn't look like a real penis. It is instantly recognizable as a dildo, however. When I travel with it, I'll put it in checked luggage, but if you don't mind discussing a dildo with airport security, the Compact is compact enough to fit nicely into a carry-on. It would be easy to hide from nosy roommates, and is as quiet as you can be while it's inside you.

This dildo is curved for g-spot stimulation, and it hits my spot perfectly whenever I want it to. Since it's silicone, it has some flexibility, but it's firm enough for easy entry, serious thrusting and serious orgasms. When I use it, the ridges stimulate my vaginal entrance while the bottom, near the base, rubs my clitoris, and the head massages my g-spot.

The Compact is about a finger and a half wide. Thus, it's for people who like slim toys, whether for warm-ups to something bigger, as part of a variety of toys, or every time. I'm in that last group, and I adore this dildo.

Performance

The Tantus Compact gives me dual vaginal and clitoral orgasms. It gives me g-spot orgasms. The only thing that gives me bigger orgasms than this toy is intercourse with my boyfriend.

The Compact also feels marvelous in between orgasms. I love how it feels externally, rubbed on my clitoris, and I adore how the head, slim, firm size and ridges feel internally. There is nothing about this toy that I don't love. I've used it every day since I've opened the package, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Like all of Tantus' dildos, the Compact is made of 100% silicone, a completely body-safe material. It can be washed with soap and warm water, and sanitized in the top rack of the dishwasher without soap, by boiling for three minutes, or by washing in a 10% bleach solution. Make sure to sanitize it before sharing and after using it anally. Only use water-based lubes with silicone, as other lubricants can hurt it. Silicone toys should be individually stored so they are not touching other toys. I wrap mine in microfiber cloths, then stick them in plastic bags. Silicone will pick up all sorts of dust and debris when left out, so it's best to store it in a way that won't attract everything in the house, and wash before using as well as after, just to be extra safe.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The Compact comes in a clear plastic box advertising the safety of Tantus' silicone. There are no instructions included. The packaging does its job in an inoffensive way. The box would be easy to wrap, if you want to give this lovely dildo as a gift, which I do recommend! It's priced for gifting and will last a lifetime if cared for properly.

Experience

I had such fun with the Compact on dry land, I decided I'd try it in the shower. I usually have problems with sex toys in the shower, since I'm not flexible, athletic, or nineteen any more, so getting in the right position puts me in danger of falling on my head. But the Compact is nice and slim, and a little flexible, so using some Maximus lube, I was able to fit it in easily without contorting myself. And, for the first time ever in years of g-spot orgasms, I squirted.

My first sex toy was a big, hard, electric blue, vibrating jelly... thing. The guy I was dating bought it for me because it was the same size as his penis, and he was moving out of state. Neither of us had a clue about sex toys. I used it only a few times, and while it felt pretty okay after lots of warm-up, it also hurt, the vibrations numbed me, and the jelly made me itch. (I didn't know then that you should never use a low-quality toy without a condom.) It put me off sex toys for a long time. I think a lot of women have similar experiences.

That's truly a pity, when there are toys like the Tantus Compact in the world. If you're looking for your first sex toy for yourself or your partner, look here. Completely body-safe, user-controlled, unintimidating, attractive, pleasurable, inexpensive -- I could go on forever about this dildo. But I'd rather play with it. For me it is, quite simply, perfect.

awesome review. I was actually kind of relieved when you mentioned your g-spot being sensitive and hurting with harder dildos...would you believe I have been avoiding g-spot toys for that very reason? I will definitely consider buying this one and getting re-acquainted with my g! Thanks!!
