There are two distinctly different, both highly realistic designs to Vixskin cocks, if you look at them as a group. One is that of Lone Star- a pronounced veiny texture and realistically shaped balls (aside from the flat back, of course), with a moderately- sized head. The other is represented well by Tex or Mustang- a head that juts out more, with subtle veins and a regular base (until Goodfella graced our lives with his free-hanging balls). I like them both for their unique attributes, though I’d also like a combination of all factors into one beautiful cock.
Lone Star is thick, for sure, but feels even more squishy than his brothers in my hands. I admired the balls and vein detail right away, thinking I might have found the perfect cock. However, in action this guy falls short, literally. I found myself sliding out too often and having reentry trouble, which seems to be a combination of the overall insertable length (just under 6”) and higher flex factor. I bought a Lone Star recently, and unlike what I've read in most of the reviews... it was very firm for Vixskin.
It was much firmer than the Bandit or Goodfella I have... almost to the point I wondered if the outer layer was just regular Vixen silicone. The outer layer of Bandit and Goodfella is very soft/pliable, but not even close to the case with Lone Star
Has anyone else noticed a drastic difference in firmness between 2 Vixskin toys? -

I have Johnny and Lone Star and Lone Star was just a tiny bit firmer than Johnny. It still feels very realistic and is soft enough for me to use regularly without any problems. Sorry to hear that you returned Lone Star :( Lone Star is also a bit larger than both of the toys you mentioned so that may also make him feel a little firmer.

When you were using this in a harness, what harness did you use? I have the Jaguar, and found that this wouldn't work with it. The bottom O-ring strap was just way to short (would have needed to have been twice as long actually). I have been wanting to try this for pegging, but those damn balls are just too long to fit in my harness! I tried different sized O-rings and size doesn't matter for this as the harness straps are what won't fit (and I can't find an O-ring larger than 2") Just wondering how you did it. I like the fact it's shorter, especially for when my cervix drops... as far as girth is concerned, it's highly comparable to my husband's and for that I love it. It's surprising you found it squishy as I found it way too firm, the core was rock solid for me but the Vixskin was amazingly giving. Bulma- I haven't actually used a harness with that particular design, with a hole in panel and snap-in o-ring together. I generally just push and pull until I get it through the 2" ring- it does take some work, but I've found that the squishiness helps.
